These are our favorite “special” cookies. Decided to order them via Amazon rather than running to different stores to locate some. The package with 3 boxes of cookies arrived on time and were packaged well. However after opening the individual boxes, it was clear that this batch had not been carefully stored and had melted (or had been frozen & thawed) at some point in their journey. The dark chocolate covering of the cookies appeared with hazy white film (called bloom).
I will NOT order from this supplier again, especially as these cookies have a premium cost. Unfortunate & disappointing!!
We will definitely buy these cookies again, as they are our favorite, but not in this manner.

When I have more money, I WILL get this. It's addicting and just perfect. The ratio of cookie to chocolate is memorable. It's an experience and something I wish we had in the states. The chocolate is also very good, that classic UK chocolate taste, chocolate done right.

Looks like the picture. Tastes great. Not melted (during summer). My only complaint is that I liked the minis better that I got in Europe. The minis tasted better, costed less, and they came in a yellow bag. The box shipped from Belgium although these are German cookies. The biscuit and chocolate on this cookie are thick and large enough to turn into a s’more. Also, the line “more chocolate than biscuit” is a lie. The chocolate layer is half the thickness of the biscuit.

Took a chance on these based on the sellers ratings and my having prime so two day delivery, no issues with melted chocolate, as good as they always were, nice hard snap and crunchy and packed very well since they come as they would to a store in a display box and seller added cardboard covering so that none of the boxes would move and then put it in a nice tight box. Dated good till/sell by 12/31/18, so I'm happy with purchase and seller. If you've never tried these you should, the butter biscuit/cookie topped with a chocolate layer on top is a combination sure to please anyone, make a good substitute for smores!

Several years ago while in Rome, we discovered these utterly sublime cookies. These are not children's cookies (wasted on 'em). They are coated with lusciously deep dark chocolate without any excess sweetness or bitterness. The cookies themselves are small, square, thin wafers, 32 to a box, about 23 calories each. They are great, savored with coffee or milk. Nothing else like them.

My box of 12 boxes expires 10/31/2019 -- 11+ months from the date I received, so they are VERY FRESH & GOOD! I first tried these a few years ago from a friend who went on an international trip and I HAD to try them again. When I saw that I could buy them on here I was ecstatic and my mouth was already watering. The long wait was worth it and they were just as delicious as I remember. There is a generous amount of delicious chocolate sandwiched between the two cookies and each one is a true rich experience. Will definitely be buying again at some point.

My family didn't really care for these cookies. If you haven't previously eaten European cookies, you may no like these. I have to also admit that after I made the purchase, I started to look at some of the previous reviews and I was appalled at how much calories and fat these cookies have. Granted, they're cookies for Heaven sakes (not health food), but don't be fooled into thinking that since you may find them a bit bland that they probably have less of the "bad stuff" in them.......Not so!

Long and the short, if you've never tried these cookies before, I would strongly recommend that you sample a sleeve (if you can find them) in your grocery store so you don't get stuck with a case that may not be eaten if your family doesn't like them.

Know that if you ever bought these in a much taller roll in a local German market chain or overseas, you might be disappointed. I know I am. Aside from a few cracks, they did arrive intact. My friend and I love these cookies and she shared with me that they aren't always carried by brick & mortar stores. So I jumped onto amazon.com and there they were. Big case (25 large packs) small case 12 packs and individual packs! We went in on a large case together and the cookies are wonderful. Very fresh. Sometimes one or two cookies in a pack might be broken, but I was amazed how intact the majority of cookies were. The shipping box looked like it had been through a war-zone. Great product. Shipment was a bit late, but when it arrived it was absolutely wonderful and well worth the wait.

At the sale price you should buy two cases. Hits are the best cookies. I've been buying them for years. One reviewer compared them to Oreos. DON'T. There is no comparison. The biscuit is mild chocolate and the cream is not a thick tasteless glob; it's a really delicious vanilla cream filling. I highly recomment these in either variety -- chocolate biscuit with vanilla filling, or vanilla biscuit with chocolate filling. My family love them.
