Answer: Yes Lori, they are sealed airtight. Sometimes they can be difficult to open, but have always succeeded. They stay fresh for a while, but they never last too long around my house. They are delicious!

If you keep the candy at below room temperature in a low humidity environment, like a closet or drawer, they will stay fresh for a long long time. Heat is your biggest enemy. Delicious! They arrived in a box which didn't fit into my mailbox. Not sure why it had to be in a box, but they arrived safe and sound. These orange flavored chimes are so good. I keep them handy for a snack or when I need to settle my stomach (ginger is good for this).

I got these for the primary purpose of helping to settle my wife's stomach during morning sickness in the first trimester of her pregnancy. She said they helped quite a bit. I've eaten a couple, too, and they're pretty tasty if you like ginger. Not as "hot" as some other ginger products, and it's not overly sweet either. If you're thinking of getting these to help settle an upset stomach or relieve nausea, I would recommend these. If you just want a ginger candy, I'd still recommend them.

I ADORE Peanut Butter Ginger Chews! These are amazing for women who have really bad cramps and aching during that time of the month, along with general nausea and hunger pangs. It helps you be less hungry, so these are really good for weight loss. I like to suck on these at the gym. Delicious taste, perfect to help block out the screaming children (gym has a daycare) because of my anxiety I can't deal with too much screaming. Peanut Butter is my absolute favorite. I have bought 2 bags of just peanut butter and one 1lb variety bag because I love all the flavors, but peanut butter is best. Another reviewer described it well: like a peanut sauce with spices, a good Thai sauce flavor. There are little bits of peanuts to add to the authenticity. Amaaaziiing!

Had heard all good things and now I know.... these are wonderful. I purchased just because I like ginger but have found them to ease stomach issues and even better calmed a sore throat at times. The variety of flavors out there are fantastic and I will be tasting them all. The orange was a great first delight. It took a bit to get used to opening these little gems but once you catch on to the simple instructions you only have to wrangle the candy out a little as it sometimes takes a little tug. So worth the purchase price!

The reason I say that is because I've been eating Prince of Peace for a long time and never tried anything else. I finally bought some Chimes Chews and fell in love all over again. Don't get me wrong, they're both great but just different enough to switch back and forth occasionally.
My 1st 5lb box had a lot of chews that were "stuck" inside the wrapper pretty bad. The 2nd box was almost perfect with hardly any trouble unwrapping. I think it depends on how they were stored, shipped, etc., you know like hot and cold and all that. I still recommend you give them a try. Super good.

I often experience some mild nausea due to chronic health condition. This is a lifesaver! I keep a stash everywhere, car, purse, pockets. Have given a few to my doctors to sample the taste-they loved & want to give to pregnant women w/nausea or morning sickness. As well as for themselves & their families!
It is also a nice after dinner sweet & its a nice sweet, but hot flavor during the day to freshen the breath.

I originally tried these at the China pavilion in Epcot in WDW due to some motion sickness I was having. I found them again in China Town in San Francisco and stocked up. Finally, turned to Amazon and got a great deal without having to leave my comfy couch. The orange flavored chews do have a bit more 'bite' than the original, but, if you like ginger, you will enjoy the orange flavor.

HOWEVER, I did not realize when I ordered these that the size of this package is so small, considering what the cost is. I paid $6.88 for this 1.5 ounce package, which contains exactly 10 chews! I just want to warn people so that they don't make the same mistake I did. I have never had to pay this much for them in the past.

I confess that I've recently become mildly addicted to Chimes Ginger Chews (superior to the other brands I've tried, in terms of flavor, size, etc.). Their flavor is moderately intense, so you're satisfied after having only one or two (OK, or sometimes three). They currently come in 5 flavors; my favorite is the original ginger; followed by mango; and then orange. I haven't (yet) tried peppermint or peanut butter, which to me don't seem to fit as well in combination with ginger. The original ginger flavor has only 3 ingredients; the others have a couple more, but they're all good, natural stuff (and vegan, for those whose diets fit into that category). They come in this 2-oz. tin, but also in larger and more cost-effective packages (up to 5 lbs.). They are convenient, individually wrapped, and easy to transport. Just be careful if they get a bit warm (in your pocket or a warm room), then they're a little stickier and harder to get out of the individual wrapper. At room temp or cooler, they're no problem. I've been turning my friends on to these little candies, and they've been thanking me for it.

The five pound bag lasted me almost two years and they are still soft. I just got more today because I was down to a dozen pieces. I find people either love or hate Ginger Chimes, I love them. I offer them to people that cough or that have a sore throat. After a minute the heat of the ginger kicks in. Some people just spit it out. If you like Ginger Chimes this is a good value. You will have plenty to keep and plenty to share.

Not the same Chimes Orange Ginger chews I’ve purchased over the years at brick and mortar stores. The Chimes I received from Amazon were crackly hard, sickly sweet and completely void of even a hint of ginger flavor. I had to call Amazon to get a refund.

My praise and complaints for this product are one in the same; the wrapper. The wrapper slowes you down just enough that you (have to make an effort) to make a pig of yourself. And the worst part is when you (make an effort &) look down - the evidence of your indulgence are strewn about like dead soldiers.

If you have ever loved the ginger chews from CHIMES, you must try these! The peanut butter is the absolute best out of all the flavors! I was hooked on the mango for a long time and just happen to come across one small bag in a department store so I thought I’d try it. Everybody in my family love them! So I finally found them in bulk here on Amazon and immediately ordered them. They help with the tickle in your throat and a dry mouth and also when your tummy isn’t feeling the best. Amazingly delicious ginger chews. I bought a small bag of these at a local store for a recent trip to combat "jetlag travel tummy" and motion sickness. I tried a few beforehand and was so addicted that I had to order the 5-pound box before our trip because my husband and I had eaten all of the small bag. So be warned -- they are addictively tasty.

The ginger is very subdued and the candy is sweeter than the average (plain) ginger candy, but it was still very tasty. No need for fancy packaging (and you won't get any) - I'd rather spend the money on the candy than the packaging. I think these would function better as a treat (candy) than a treatment (for nausea, etc.) due to the weaker ginger flavor.

These are really good, great flavor, just a little initial ginger bite. Found chimes ginger chews while in Iceland, and wanted ginger for the airplane. These are my favorites as far as 'eating' ginger candies. They are smoother tasting than the pure ginger chews and not as 'peppery' so you may need to buy both for different benefits and taste. But I can eat theses Chimes Peanut Butter Ginger Chews like people eat potato chips! Which means I have to spread out my purchases. The taste kind of reminds me of Thai Satay but not exactly. And yes, I paid full price :D

I paid $5 for this for the tin alone. Love Chimes ginger chews! 13 candies were packed but maybe you could fit one or two more when you refill. The tin is getting a little scratched up in my purse but otherwise holding up. Occasionally the lid slides on the wrong grooves and wants to fly off, so be careful. This is approximately the size of a BandAid tin and could fit a small deck of cards, possibly a standard size deck. Love the artwork; it looks like something out of Alice in Wonderland.

It took a bit to get used to opening these little gems but once you catch on to the simple instructions you only have to wrangle the candy out a little as it sometimes takes a little tug. These are wonderful little candies. Good ginger flavor. And every time you try to open one you'll contemplate learning to make your own. Because the wrappers are frequently miserably hard to rip, and it can be hard just to get a grip on the tearable edges. Maybe the packaging was designed by people with tiny hands; maybe they were aliens with small but powerful tentacles and grip-suckers. I don't know. I ended up storing scissors nearby.
They are gummy and not recommended if you've had dental work in the recent past. They can get quite a grip on a crown. Go ahead and guess how I know this.

I bought the original ones with ginger because it was suggested to me to try ginger for a medical condition I have. After looking around I settled for these for a few reason. I did not make a mistake! They are so good! I have never tasted ginger before. For a first time, it was love a first bite. These are individually wrapped, and then they are sealed in bag and they really retain their freshness and are easy to carry when on the go. They are a little bit on the spicy side. If you don't like anything spicy then these might not be for you, but I would recommend trying them for yourself first. It's a different kind of spiciness. If you eat a jalapeño pepper it's hot and it's spicy. These are not like that, they are a bit spicy but they are not hot. It's hard to explain, but it's different. I think they are great, and very fresh, and shipping was fast thanks to Amazon. This is a great product and I have it on subscribe and save and it will stay there.

I have had a lot of stomach issues and was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Disorder... whatever that is. Anyway, these help with my constant nausea. This is my favorite flavor of all the Chimes Ginger Chews - the Peanut Butter ones are good too if you like peanut butter. I think you have to like ginger flavor to really like these. They have a bit of sweetness to them so even if you don't like ginger, I think they could be tolerable. I have also used these before and during flights to avoid being air sick. They work! After eating 2-3 of them, in about 15 minutes I am feeling more myself.
