REESE’S Peanut Butter Temptations
Level: Beginner; Prep Time: 20 min.
- Heat oven to 375°F. Remove wrappers from candies. Line small muffin cups (1-3/4 inches in diameter) with paper bake cups.
- Beat butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, peanut butter, egg and vanilla until light and fluffy in large bowl. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; add to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place one in each prepared muffin cup. Do not flatten.
- Bake 10 to 12 minutes until puffed and lightly browned; remove from oven. Immediately press peanut butter cup or piece onto each cookie. Cool completely in muffin pan. About 3-1/2 dozen cookies.

They are certainly very similar, but the chocolate to peanut butter ratio is different between the Peanut Butter Cups and the Peanut Butter Cup miniatures and that can matter to people. I imagine most people who like this will also like the miniatures well enough, but I for one do have a strong preference for the regular Peanut Butter Cups and I can see why some might feel the opposite.

For the most part it tastes the same till the aftertaste sets in. Seems to reinforce the peanut butter taste with a slight cream flavor instead of switching to chocolate or heavy peanut flavor depending on how you eat your cup.

I’ve been a Reese’s fan my whole life, I think when it comes to this large box it’s definitely a fair price for as many as they give you, the only complaint I have as that it appears the cups must’ve settled during shipment or went through a lot of temperature changes enough to where the oils have started to come out, some of the cups have a wet/oily feel and taste to them which is kind of a turn off, but overall I’m still fairly happy with them.

These were sent in the middle of summer in the desert. They came perfectly, packed well with cold packs. They taste fresh and perfect! The cold packs were still half frozen when I opened the box. The peanut butter cups were all perfect, not one had the bottom stuck to the wrapper. These were by far better and fresher than what I had been buying in the store.

There was nothing wrong with these when arrived. I live in Florida and they werent melted due to the cold pack put in the box with them. The day that they arrived, the temperature was 95. They were ways away from expiration and tasted great! By buying these in bulk, I have saved money in the long run. Will definitely keep purchasing!

My husband loves this resee’s cup, especially this original one. We have tired the other type like 1 ponds or Halloween version. But this original has the best taste. It is not too sweet but good peanut flavor. My husband needs two boxes a month as his snake these days when working from home. :)

Ordered 5 boxes. Can't tell you how they taste because they are for trick-or-treaters ( I'm sure they're great!). They arrived in excellent condition, not one dent in the packaging. They were cool to the touch, so no melty chocolate. The expiration date is many months away (6 or 7) They will be gone way before then. Thanks!

Received a box of melted chocolate with peanut butter. No attempt to keep the contents cool, most places throw in a package of ice. Won't be ordering again...that's for sure.

I purchased this product because I needed to find a better price for a bulk pack of Reese's. I've ordered this product twice, and the Reese's arrived in perfect shape. I do wonder what will happen in warmer weather with this product. I worry it could be melted. I will post updates about ordering this product in warmer weather. I love the box it comes in. I would recommend this product.

I was a little worried after reading some of the other reviews, with out of date candy and Christmas Tree or Easter designs...I just wanted a case of the original two-packs. That's exactly what I received...a case of the original two-pack of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, the an expiration date several months down the road.

To be fair, the product that I received was flawless, unlike that of reviewers that made me wary. I decided that I was willing to take a chance for the price as I wanted to be a full-sized candybar house for Halloween this year, so cost mattered.
The 3 stars comes from the heartbreakingly-wasteful packaging. My bad, in a way, as it never dawned on me that it might warrant such packaging, but it came in a very large styrofoam cooler with an ice pack that was wrapped in even more plastic. At the price I paid, I don’t even understand how the vendor could afford the packaging, but I’m really just saddened by the amount of those containers that are getting shipped out there for small, inexpensive boxes of candy.
I learned a lesson, but it is just sad that such methods are offered & if I had known about the extreme extra waste that my purchase would produce, I would not have made it.

Bought these in July, very hot weather, for $18 and something---bargain. Arrived in pristine condition in a styrofoam cooler with cold packs. I see in September they now cost $24+. What can I say--Reeses Peanut Butter Cups, delicious and a bargain in hot weather. Now, in the fall, not so much.

I love Reese's, but something bad happened during storage / shipping / handling. They did not taste very fresh, like they'd been on a shelf a little too long. But they also were all deformed and melted in the center -- every single one in this giant package. (See picture.) The weather here wasn't hot when they arrived, and I did bring them inside promptly, so whatever happened, happened before I got them.

Arrived fresh with an expiration date on April 2019. Arrived in a plastic cold storage so product didn't melt on delivery. Still had ice in the container on the product box. So I just had to have one ???? To see how they were, and they are delicious and not melted. Stored in refrigerator because I live in the far south. Will order again when price is right.

These came and had melted with the chocolate everywhere and 2 small discs of peanut butter. These were purchased for Halloween treats.....I refuse to look at little faces that think they are getting a great treat...only to open it and find it messed up.
