All of our fruit slices are still handmade in small batches using the original recipe right here in the USA. This time tested process has allowed us to maintain our jelly texture and intense fruit flavor.
Unlike other companies that have imported fruit slices that may look like ours...we're proud to say that our fruit slices have no hard sugar crust, no grainy texture and no dull flavors! Just the same great taste and texture millions of American's have enjoyed over the years!

These are too sticky and take up too much room, but they do look nice !!! ???

Well, after all the high reviews for Boston candy, I decided to try it. First, it was overpriced for such a small tray. Second, I was expecting an explosion of fruity flavor and that did not happen. They were okay, but no better than the cheap fruit slices you can buy at any Walmart or HEB. Disappointed. They were dull and boring. Will not buy again.

I enjoy jelly candy. I have had fruit slices in the past. These seem to be the original version so I paid the slight premium price difference. The flavor and texture is good, but please don't order if you don't like your candy SWEET ! I'm talking about eat one piece and wait until much later for the next one.

I agree with many other reviewers. This product was not good. Goopy, no flavor. Not like I remember as a child. If you are looking for decent fruit slices look no further. I finally found some at The Vermont Country Store. Check it out for yourself. Their fruit slices are just what you are looking for. I happened across this by chance. I received one of their catalogs through the mail. and this was one of the things I ordered from them. You will not be disappointed. I only left this review because so many people were looking for good fruit slices and could not find them.

Perilous Moo : Delicious!

After seeing all the negative reviews about all the different brands of Boston Fruit Slices available, I was very hesitant to buy them at all. I used to get them from the candy store right outside the front doors of Madison Square Garden in the '80s. I discovered them accidentally there, and though the store is long gone now, the love remains.

These are just like the candy I used to get at that candy store. Theyre delicious! They are not "gritty;" that's actually the sugar coating on the slices themselves. The "rind" is perfectly chewy and the jelly is strongly flavoured and just the right texture.

These are well worth the money. I just wish they weren't so expensive overall, no matter who sells them, but I suppose that's a good thing, because it keeps me from buying them too often.

These are the real deal. I'll be placing repeat orders.

I love fruit slices; they are one of my favorite candies. But not this brand. I had not had this brand before this order. They do not have a good texture, and they are too gummy (not in a good way), soft, and runny -- kind of like what happens to refrigerated jelly once you leave it out on the counter a bit. Save your money and order a good brand that you already know you like. I've got these lying out trying to dry them out a little to see if they are able to be saved, but I do not have confidence that they can be.

I bought a pack of these to give as a hostess gift, but they never made it to the hostess. I unpacked them and they looked so good I just had to open them. The candies are very flavorful, and the texture is perfect-very soft, without being gummy. Highly addictive.

The presentation of these candies was the best part. The flavor is very bland; each color is supposed to be a different flavor; when I ate them, I could not tell the difference. The texture is almost too soft. If the candies had a more robust flavor, the other complaints almost wouldn’t matter.

product was not shipped with any type of heat protection. The candy got over heated at the warehouse or in shipping and the sugar was melted off it making it very unappealing. It was a gift so I called the actual company that makes the Boston Fruit slices and they took care of it even though they did not ship it. The candy itself is the best ever. My mom who is 88 says that these taste “just like I remember as a kid”; flavorful and fresh. We have searched long and hard for the best tasting fruit slices over the years. I was so excited to get this treat that I remember living as a child. What I got is very disappointing. The granulated sugar that is supposed to coat the outside of the fruit slices appears to have melted, so the slices are kind of wet and sticky. Yuck!

Item was melting the sugar coating was off the fruit slices and the taste was horrible. Its almost as if you took the candy threw it into an office and let it heat it. I tried once piece and threw it out. Then I tried returning it as it is not edible and was told its not returnable. I will be doing a charge back on my CC. If your going to sell candy you cannot ship it without thinking about how to deal with the heat outside. Dry ice could have solved this issue. I wasted $13 for a pile of melted colored sugar.

It was frustrating to get the product with the sugar all over the inside of the containers and where the sugar seemed almost melted off. I had to lay them out on foil and sprinkle sugar on both sides of them and buy new containers just to make them presentable as all four packages were part of holiday gifts.

Very, very frustrating to have to go through and pay the price I did for a sub par product. Disappointed!!!

The last time I ordered this candy it was last summer and when the three packs arrived they had been in the heat and the sugar melted and they had a strange flavor. I ordered this before it got warm here even though it took a while and it was hot hot hot when they arrived two days ago. I was happy to see they looked perfect and to make sure I tried a green one - absolutely wonderful. I am saving them for a while and will dole them out one at a time - my husband wants one now! By one I mean he wants a whole pack to himself!

These fruit slices are very tasty. I love 'em. The packaging seems more geared towards a retail setting as opposed to shipping. Mine was a bit crushed on one side. Amazon should have more stringent protocols when shipping food items...a little extra care maybe?

I was surprised at how small the package was when I opened it up in the envelope it came in. (Yes, sent in an envelope that got jammed into my mailbox.)

The fruit slices taste fine. MIne arrived on an 80 degree day and they weren't gross or wet or anything. I could get the same thing at my grocery store for way less money, though.
