Do they still have plain chocolate?

What happened to the gold foil wrapper Chunkies that had pecans and raisins in them??

Answer: They used to do a version of Chunky that had pecans only, no raisins. It was available in the 60’s and 70’s. Not sure when they started (or quit) making it. Had a gold colored wrapper instead of silver.

Answer: Been in the business for 19 years. Have never seen a gold wrapper on the chunkies.

How are they different from regular Chunky bars?

Answer: Each one is a 2 inch cube divided into four small directions. What I don't like is that now they use peanuts instead of almonds and pecans like the original Chunky's of years ago. Does not taste as good, but it's the best we're

Answer: No different than those I have bought individually in the store, when (rarely) available.

How are these shipped? I live on the west coast and worry about them melting.

Answer: I received them in perfect condition and they were shipped in a cardboard box by either the USPS, UPS OR FEDEX. I believe that because they are so thick they are not prone to melting but I live in the Northeast so our Temps are moderate. They were superb to eat and are not easy to find locally.

Answer: If you can get them two-day shipping it should be OK, especially if you live in the northern half of the country,and at this time of year.

Answer: You are right to be concerned about them melting. I live in Texas so any orders I place with chocolate or anything else that can melt I definitely consider the weather. Having said that the Chunky bars are packed in a box as if they came from the factory (a big silver box with "Chunky" on the top). They are then placed in an Amazon box just like normal. The best thing I can tell you is try to order them when cooler weather prevails. I hope you enjoy them. I know I did.

Answer: In summer shipments to the Chicago area, the bars were surrounded by multiple freezer packs and the bars arrived just fine. I just received some (mid Oct) without such packing, and they arrived ok in my area given the cooler weather. You will have to trust that they would take your local climate into consideration when packing.

Does nestle make a dark chocolate chunky bar?

Answer: they are fresh and they no longer contain cashews but still have the peanuts. they don't quite taste like the old ones but are very close, probably the cashews made the differense

Is this one large bar or several small bars? I am looking for a large 1-2 pound Chunky bar for my boss.

Answer: They are just slightly a bit smaller but they made a change I didn't like, they no longer use cashews, instead peanuts are used and I don't think they taste as good as in the olden days. They are very close in size and taste but not quite the same as before.

These came in a chilled package, even at Christmas! I do love a Chunky and they're surprisingly hard to find. Chocolate, nuts and raisins - what could possibly be better than that? We're still working on them!

My husband loves Chunky bars; they were a childhood favorite. Unfortunately, they are difficult to find and sell out quickly. Rather be at the Beach : A perfect proportion of sweet raising to salty nuts to delicious chocolate! A thick bar that is good and chewy!

Isn't CHUNKY a health food? Raising, a fruit with vitamins and fiber; nuts with protein and fiber; and chocolate with antioxidants! HEALTH FOOD! And the proportions of nuts to raisins to chocolate is perfect…DELICIOUS! I even like the shape which gives it lot of chew and crunch! Chunky is a wonderful blast from the past, but it is still as good today as ever. I highly recommend them!

I love Chunky candy bars-they remind me of being a kid and sharing them with my dad! When this package arrived the outer card board box was sealed but the actual silver box of candy was not. The box was missing 3 candy bars not a big deal when you have ordered 24 except I now wonder what other tampering could have been done. I would go with a seller directly and not try to save by using Amazon Prime for this one!

What else can I say? No other candy bar has this great taste of divine chocolate with the perfect combination of raisins and nuts. A favorite of mine since a little girl. Arrived fine when I bought them but watch out for hot weather deliveries.

Don't get me wrong, my husband and I love Chunky bars and being able to buy them by the box is just wonderful. However, our last shipment was 2 bars short. Now I'm not talking a lot of money here, but I am talking about someone taking two bars out of the box and probably eating them before shipping them to us. The box didn't come secured and so it was really easy for anyone to perform a five-finger discount with our candy bars. I even sent a complaint to the supplier and didn't even get a "we're sorry" from them; although a couple of bars would have been nice too. Amazon needs to take a look at this supplier.

All this hoopla over two candy bars?? you betcha! We're senior citizens, we shop a lot on Amazon and we like our Chunky bars.

It's been a very long time since I had a Chunky. They were always my favorite, but I couldn't find them anywhere. Although I can't be certain, due to the length of time since I had them, I think they are as I remembered. Delicious. The only way they could better is if Nestle made them with dark instead of milk chocolate.
