when these arrive do they arrive all melty and sticky or do the pieces come out of the wrapper easily and smoothly like from a new bag of warheads?

Answer: Nope the pieces come out nice and easy(Not melted), just to open the candy make a T and pull apart or use scissors.

Answer: They did have a recall in 2011 on a chew bar product, but I don’t believe it involved the hard candies. As bad as they were they lead might of improved the taste

These candies are slightly a little more sour than the Warheads candy. I am giving this product a 5 stars because it arrived in 2 days!!! The shipping is extremely fast and also this is a lot of candy, which is good because it gets addicting. I say you suck on them and when it gets smaller it has little holes in it that let out the sour part in the middle and then crack the candy so you can get more sour out of it.

First off, the hype that Toxic Waste candy is more sour than Warheads is simply not true. Warheads are covered with a pretty thick layer of malic acid that is
as sour as you can get. Toxic Waste candy has a very thin, much less dense layer of malic acid which is not nearly as intense and it goes away far too quickly.

Other than that, Toxic Waste is a much better tasting candy. The initial "sour shock" only lasts for seconds, but then the sweet flavors creep in along with it making it much easier to handle. The flavors of the sweet part of the candy are far better than Warheads are. I also love the hollow centers filled with a sour powder. The powder is not overwhelming, but very tangy and good, especially mixed with the flavors of the last remnants of the sweet part of the candy. Overall, I believe the flavors are better than Warheads, but the initial malic acid "sour shock" is not nearly as intense, hence the reason for 4 stars and not 5. Don't let that stop you from buying it though. The price is right and is the taste is good!

Bought this candy for my teenage son that is addicted to sour candy and says nothing is sour enough. It is definitely sour for the rest of us, I had to spit it out. He of course never even made a face, but it is his favorite now.

These are good. the sour flavor is good, although im not sure if its "the most sour" candy, but that may be because the whole time i was waiting for my package to show up i was psyching myself up for these to be crazy sour. but theyre pretty much like warheads but they do have a really nice flavor, and the sour center is awesome. Toxic Waste vs Warheads? They taste almost exactly the same except Toxic Waste has a sour core to it. Lemon is the most sour flavor. For [...] you get 12 containers with 16 pieces in each. 12X16=196!!!!!!!!!!!. Get Toxic Waste mainly because you get more than warheads and there is that sour core. The core however is no where near as sour as the coating on the outside.

These things are way beyond in terms of sour. I ate one. It will also be the last one I eat. I had what felt like burns in my mouth for three days. I had no taste buds for the same amount of time. It's absolutely ridiculous. There's sour and over sour. These are over sour.

Three stars because some people love insanely sour, some people absolutely hate insanely sour. I used to love insanely sour. Not so much anymore.

I was hoping that I'd finally found a sour candy with a little kick, but Toxic Waste wasn't it. The taste was fine but it wasn't any more sour than a warhead. The package has a scale on the back ranking your toughness based on whether or not you can keep one of these in your mouth 15, 30, 45, or 60 seconds. Please. There is a little sourness for the first five seconds, and then it's gone...completely gone. It tastes like a regular hard candy after that.

Purchased for my 12-year-old son for Christmas. Really sour and better than Warheads. This is my sons' opinion, not mine. I think they taste horrible and gave me an immediate sensation of "watery mouth" or that moment right before you puke up last nights tequila binge. They did name this product Toxic Waste...so don't expect some pansy sour candy.

You'll love it if you like sour candies. My girlfriend and I found out about this candy on a road trip when we googled "what is the most sour candy?". I couldn't find it anywhere, so I ordered a case off amazon. It turns out that you can buy individual packs at dollar tree. Anyway, they're super sour and have a good variety of flavors (six, I think). The flavor isn't quite as good as warheads, but they are a more intense sour. In fact, you can only eat one or two without temporarily damaging the inside of your mouth. They are also a lot of fun to give to friends and family to watch their reactions when they try their first one.

I feel like this stuff should come with a waver that you have to sign. My wife is basically addicted to sour stuff, so we seek out the sourest candies known to man. Well, this one I think ranks pretty high up there. My face basically imploded when it touched my tongue it was so sour. It is basically like an Atomic Warhead except it is sour all the way through... so no sweet relief for wimps like me. My wife says "Meh, it could be more sour" but she's crazy. If you like sour candy, then you'll probably like this.
