Q:
If there are 6 bags at 2.7oz each, how can the total weight be only 7.5oz?
Answer: absolutely. they made a mistake. and then i made a mistake buying another listing thinking it was less expensive per ounce and it wasn't. this item is MORE.
Answer: they made a mistake
Q:
Can you confirm if these are Gluten Free, Casein Free, Soy Free, and Corn Free? Thank you!
Answer: I know they are gluten-free at the very least. I'm a super sensitive celiac and I had no issues at all with these. I love them.
Answer: These are not corn free, I have an allergy to corn and within a few minutes of eating these I had the allergy flush and muscle pains.
Answer: The ingredients are: water, maltitol syrup, isomalt, gelatin, natural vanilla flavor, natural black carrot juice colour. I don't eat gluten or dairy or soy and I will eat a couple of these without problem. I don't trust ingredients labeled natural. Hope this helps
Answer: Yes these are all that free
Answer: Yes, they are.
Q:
Are these lactose-free?
Answer: Ingredients:
Answer: I believe they are - check the package for sure. As I said I make my own now. Marshmallow ingredients are pretty basic. Sugar, corn syrup, gelatin and sometimes egg whites
Answer: They contain lactic acid.
Q:
What is the shelf life of these?
Answer: They are best in the first three or four months. After that they tend to get sticky, although they still taste as good. You can roast them just like regular marshmallows so I usually roast them when they aren't as fresh. But I highly recommend them as a good substitute for refined sugars and the corn syrup in regular marshmallows.
Answer: As long as they don't get warm they last a long time. Just like regular marshmallows
Answer: about 12 months at a minimum
Answer: We have waited three months to use them for rice Krispy treats, and I think they could go longer
Q:
How are these stored?
Answer: Store unopened bags in plastic container or ziploc bag. Keep open bags in air tight container in fridge.
Answer: I store them Ina zip lock bag and they stay fresh I stool have some left from a while ago and their still good to eat. Jo
Answer: I store them in a zip lock bag
Answer: Honestly they don't last long in our house. Once we open a bag my family eats them all within a couple days. So I don't know how long they stay fresh in the original packaging. If you don't plan on eating them right away and worry about them getting stale just vacuum seal them in a mason jar. But I highly recommend these.. They even work great when making desserts like rice crispy treats.
Answer: They dont melt ...
Answer: You can keep them in a cool, dry cabinet. I would also suggest resealing the bag after opening it.
Answer: I just toss them in my pantry like any other marshmallow. They last a very long time at ambient temp.
Q:
Is there an expiration date on these? Six bags would last a long time in my house and wondered how long they stay fresh.
Answer: I purchased mine about 6 months ago. They have an expiration date of May of 2014. The marshmallows are still fresh and they are very good. I hope this info. is helpful. Debbie
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: Even after the dates, I still think they are great, but I usually like them in my hot chocolate so I dont care, they melt anyway. I have had my for a long time, still soft and good and several months past the dates. I know this is a late answer and you may already know this.
Answer: Yes, there is an expiration date on the package. The ones I have are fresh until 7/2014.

Answer: It does have gelatin which is derived from animal skins usually. Otherwise it's vegetarian.
Q:
How big is each marshmallow? Are they big enough to roast?
Answer: Yes, definitely large enough to roast. Not sure how the sugar alcohol would effect roasting, but it's sugar nonetheless so it will burn/crisp I'm sure!
Answer: Yes. They're very close to the size of of regular marshmallow. Also, the taste is Exactly the same. I couldn't tell the difference!

Q:
Do they come in any other size, like mini? I use them in hot chocolate and they are a mess to cut up.
Answer: Sorry no
Q:
Can you make a crispy rice bar with these?
Answer: I made them for my type 1 diabetic husband. He had never had Rice Krispie Treats before. They did turn out. I didn't taste them but he liked them. Anyone saying these are tasteless have not gone most of their life without sugar/honey. My husband likes the taste and sweetness of these. I hope this helps.
Answer: I can't answer your question, since we eat a grain-free diet, but I can attest that they roast over a campfire as good as any other marshmallow, so my guess is that they would melt in a pan with butter and rice krispies.
Answer: Yes, I should think you would be able to, although I have not personally tried it. They are the closest thing to a real marshmallow that I've been able to find. I made sugar free "moon pies" with them & my entire family loved them, including two very, very picky teenagers.Good luck!
Answer: I don't know as I have not tried to do so - but if you do, I would suggest adding some sort of flavoring to the mix since these have no taste whatsoever. Good luck.
Answer: I actually don't know. I haven't tried.

Answer: I wouldn't use these if you were avoiding dairy sugar and gluten.i used them to avoid sugar but the carbs were so high it didn't help me. But they are delish!
Answer: Yes if your avoiding dairy, gluten, and sugar this product wouldn't work. There delish but they really have a lot of carbs and sugars in different forms.
Q:
How do they melt? I want to use them in a marshmallow ice cream
Answer: I didn't melt them. I used them in Ambrosia salads. I also used in another fruit salad that called for marshmallow.

Product reviews of La Nouba Sugar-Free Marshmallows 2.7 Oz (6 bags)
David S. Baugher : taste like the real thing
great tasting but dont eat to many of them or you'll run to the bathroom
Evelyn : All but the smell
The only thing lacking is the marshmallow smell!!! lol
They roast well for s’mores! And works for rice crispies treats!
lillyputt12 : Sugar free marshmallows
I only received 2 bags and in an envelope that the marshmallows were stuck together. At least they taste ok
Drayk : Great!
Love these marshmallows!
Jeanie : Good flavor and nice texture
The flavor and texture is spot on. Arrived a little sticky.
Frances Markowitz : Delicious
Delicious as a Diabetic I love bring able to eat marshmallows again
Drayk : Great!
Love these marshmallows!
Evelyn : All but the smell
The only thing lacking is the marshmallow smell!!! lol
They roast well for s’mores! And works for rice crispies treats!
KJ : Expensive but satisfies the craving
They sort of stick to the bag and get squished a bit but taste like the real thing and I keep buying more. Just a bit more expensive than I had hoped for.
Lizbeth : Loved the Marshmallow's
I am diabetic and have looked everywhere for sugar free marshmallows! We camp often, and roasting marshmallows is a treat that I love making. However since being diagnosed back in 2004, I've had to skip that treat as regular marshmallow's are nothing but sugar! I found these and tried them this weekend. They roasted just like regular and became warm and gooey! I love mine charbroiled - and they roasted up perfectly! No yucky after taste (my husband even liked them) and I didn't see a spike in my blood glucose. I'll buy again!
Emily : Poor way of shipping the item
I love these marshmallows, I used to buy them from the main site but I found it a lot cheaper on here.
But who’s idea was it to jam 6 bags of marshmallows together in cling rap... It smushed all of the marshmallows on to the sides of the bags... I literally had to rip a bag all the way open to scrape the blob of marshmallows of the sides.
Sheri G. : La Nouba Marshmallows
I use these to make stores. They toast great and taste delicious. I will definitely buy them again.
Tricia F. : Great marshmallows!
I thought these were great and I noticed no difference between these and the regular marshmallows filled with sugar. My family wanted to make s'mores on the 4th of July and I didn't want to miss out, so I needed to find a sugar free option and this was it. My daughters both tried them as well and said that there was a little bit of difference between these and marshmallows made with sugar, but it was a very small difference and that they were still really good. I think they're absolutely fabulous. They taste great, they're nice and soft and worked perfectly on my s'mores. I wondered if there would be any difference when I heated them and there was not.
Sherry Daugherty : Delicious
Had such a craving for marshmallows but not sugar. these definitely fit the bill! ????
Mindi Fowler-Ogden : Low Carb & low glycemic
These are perfect for making my favorite treats. Great for people with diabetes or are looking for low carb marshmallows. They make amazing cereal treats too.
callmeVia : Finally!
Sugar free marshmallows are a dream! You cannot tell the difference. So yummy
Geetar : Good alternative.
Low carb and low cal is always a good thing. If you eat too many you will learn a rough lesson. Over priced though. Make your own. Not difficult.
Michael Van Kleeck : Tastes great but very expensive and NOT low carb
These taste great but they are NOT low carb. My mother is diabetic, read low carb on the package, and ate one. Luckily I read the carb count and she was able to spit some of it out. My son loves marshmallows and I really wanted to find some that were sugar free. He loves these but they are just so expensive. These are great for someone just looking for sugar free but not anyone on a keto diet due to health issues.
Danielle : Low carb-alicious!!
These low carb marshmallows are very tasty!! I made rocky road fat bombs with them and almost went completely HAMM on them... Lol! I had to put them far away in the fridge they were so good. The only thing I didn't like was the info on the bag... Its not n english... Im not completely sure what language it is... So that's a little annoying... Otherwise, thumbs-up!!
audresmommy : Misleading - not a low carb food, not for Keto and WILL spike your blood glucose
Maltitol is basically sugar in that it will spike your blood glucose quite significantly. These are advertised as low carb, but aren’t...not really. If you eat a Keto diet these WILL kick you out of ketosis. They taste delicious, I’ll give them that....but for the price and the effect on your glucose, I would stay away.
leslie kay : Warmth? AMZ asked me to rate the marshmallow's warmth. What?!
I like the marshmallows, they're flavorful, and mouthfeel is identical to like the real thing.
I don't like that they were compressed for shipping. Can't clearly find ingredients b/c of the pkg compression and that it's printed in French.
Haven't tried melting or toasting yet; looking fwd to it.
S. Fraser : Good filler.
I decided to try these marshmallows because I make rice cereal treats a lot and I wanted to cut back on my sugar intake. I used half La Nouba and half regular marshmallows. The outcome had the same texture as previous treats but were significantly less sweet. La Nouba has a marshmallow texture and even melts better than regular marshmallows, but the taste is a bit bland. Since I wasn't blown away with La Nouba, I'll spend my money on something else next time. If I'm going to pay over $4 for 10 marshmallows they need to tast good.
lillyputt12 : Sugar free marshmallows
I only received 2 bags and in an envelope that the marshmallows were stuck together. At least they taste ok
Drayk : Great!
Love these marshmallows!
Laura J. Anderson : Fantastic product!
I love that they taste just like a sugar-filled marshmallow! My husband cant rave enough about the rice crispie bars I made with them.
j w : delicious
the marshmallows are delicious, fluffy and sugar free. The nutrition description is hard to read, that is my only complaint.
We make smores with these and they are perfect and the kids love them too.
Sherry Daugherty : Delicious
Had such a craving for marshmallows but not sugar. these definitely fit the bill! ????
Jeanie : Good flavor and nice texture
The flavor and texture is spot on. Arrived a little sticky.
Edna Scott : Okay if you cannot have regular marshmallows
It melted okay but had a butyric acid (cheesey) smell when I melted them. Tried toasting but didn’t really brown like a marshmallow it just turned black. Can make s’mores with them if you microwave or put the whole s’more over the fire for a minute but you can’t make it the traditional way of toasting the marshmallows first. Great out of the package as is
Savannah : Great taste, high price
Flavor awesome! Texture awesome! Keto awesome! Price not so awesome... i understand that healier is always a knock up on price. 8 marshmallows per bag that is 6$ is quite high. So instead of getting these puppies all of the time, it will be a rare pricey treat. I think more money could be made if they took the marshmallows prices down a tad.
S. Vanhoose : Fabulous flavor! Just like regular marshmallows!
I adore marshmallows! However, I have been struggling with borderline blood sugar lately, so I'm trying to reduce my sugars and carbs. I saw these and decided to try them. I was a little surprised at the smaller size of the package, but that's my fault for not paying more attention to the weight. These taste VERY good! Fresh and soft with a slight denseness that comes with higher quality marshmallows, and perfect flavor. I don't notice any aftertaste either. I love them so much! I didn't want to spend extra for the chocolate kind, so sometimes I'll layer it with a caramel Atkins square, and BOY that is heavenly! They do raise my blood sugar a little bit, but nothing too dramatic. Just don't eat the whole package in one sitting, because the sugar alcohol carbs can add up if you eat too much at once. Totally worth the price. I will definitely buy these again.
Poodle Mom : The most delicious colonoscopy prep ever!
They taste so good, but they hurt so bad! First I ate 5, then I tried 3 with the same horrible results. They are so good that I really wanted to find a tolerable dose, but I don’t think my body can handle these at all, so sad...
Daniel Lopes : Perfect!
Airfried smores with almost zero calories. What else can you want? I’ll be buying these frequently
PENNY LYNCH : Buy Buy Buy you will be Glad
I Glady would tell People ho are looking or raving a marshmellow taste this go to. The texture is spot on & really perfect in treats as well . I put them n my sweet potao over holidays they finish off the dish beautifully.
JML : Loving It is Sugar Free!
These were for my daughter who was pleasantly surprised. She loves marshmallow and needs to watch her sugar so this was a pleasant win. She really liked them in hot chocolate, cutting them to suit. They do not seem to toast well so she is working on that! Good product!
Jessica : STICKY!!!
These taste good but, be aware that they are VERY sticky. They stick to each other, your fingers, everything. You also do not get very many of them in each packet. But, they are a nice treat for occassional purchase. I dipped them in low carb chocolate and sprinkled with nuts for my husband.
XRX 150 Team Member : Squished Marshmallows
Packaging could have been better.
All of the bags of marshmallows were put in a too small bag, which caused the marshmallows in each bag to fuse together into on large marshmallow per bag.
Also a warning regarding Malitol in "Sugar Free Confections" should accompany these, as a judicious quantity should only be consumed at a time.
PJ and Paul : La Nouba Sugar Free Marshmallows are a Yummy Treat for us Diabetics!
La Nouba is the only way I can get sugarfree marshmallows all year long. And I love them. And they taste great. Another company (P**ps) puts out a small amount of sugarfree marshmallow chicks, bunnies and Santas on Holidays, but there's not enough of them for all of us diabetics who want them. However La Nouba sugarfree marshmallows are available at Amazon all year long!
SlayrWanab : Yum
I was shocked that these were so good. I can't tell the difference between the sugared ones and these except when roasting them they do take longer to toast but they do toast nicely.
Shellgirl410 : Chemical tasting
Good first taste, but after that too chemically tasting, not impressed
Daniel Lopes : Perfect!
Airfried smores with almost zero calories. What else can you want? I’ll be buying these frequently
M.T.R : Worst marshmallows ever
Very expensive and no taste at all. Like chewing an eraser
Sheri G. : La Nouba Marshmallows
I use these to make stores. They toast great and taste delicious. I will definitely buy them again.
Laura J. Anderson : Fantastic product!
I love that they taste just like a sugar-filled marshmallow! My husband cant rave enough about the rice crispie bars I made with them.
Jessica : Diarrhea
Gave me such bad gas and stomach ache with diarrhea one of the ingredients is like a stool softener they do taste like marshmallows if you're really going to risk the rest of your day feeling bad unfortunately not a good product.
I've tried it three separate times just to be sure that that is what was upsetting my stomach and every single time different days made me sick!
Jeanie : Good flavor and nice texture
The flavor and texture is spot on. Arrived a little sticky.
Calm Erin : Good for sugar-free treat and made in Belgium
Liked the texture and taste, very close to a real marshmallow. Use one mallow in the evening with my sugar-free hot chocolate.
S. Vanhoose : Fabulous flavor! Just like regular marshmallows!
I adore marshmallows! However, I have been struggling with borderline blood sugar lately, so I'm trying to reduce my sugars and carbs. I saw these and decided to try them. Emalodean : cut them up and add them to your cereal on your keto diet! ????
I've used these for years. I love them as a Sugar free alternative for my marshmallow cravings. I love cutting them up and putting them in my cereal so that my bland cereal taste like what it was when I was a child. It's really great for keto diet.
Jessica : STICKY!!!
