From the manufacturer
You can get the fiber you need, constipation relief, and it will taste pretty darn d'Lish!
| | | |
Constipation relief starts with the right types of fiber. Yup, two types of fiber – soluble and insoluble. Your body needs both types of fiber to keep its pipes flowing without getting clogged. The crazy thing is that most bars or high-fiber foods only have soluble fiber. Fiber d’Lish gives you both. | One bar daily & hydrate for immediate constipation relief. How does it work? Our added insoluble fiber gives your poo the bulk it needs (without the bloat) to scrub your intestines squeaky clean. This helps to activate the muscles in your digestive track to contract, giving you the relief you’ve been looking for. Just add water to activate that fiber. | Meet your flavorful relief team! Who said doing your business can’t come with a little pleasure? Indulge in your daily dose of fiber in eight robust, soft-baked flavors. Because, let’s be honest, you’re not going to eat your fiber if it doesn’t taste great. Our flavor crew is composed of real, wholesome ingredients that’ll help you get through any roadblocks your day throws your way. | All natural ingredients. No artificial additives. Fiber d’Lish awakens your tastebuds by using seeds, whole grains, and natural fruit juices — you can count on us to never use any artificial additives. Many fiber bars are formulated with processed fiber that is stripped of its most beneficial qualities and loaded with added sugar and artificial sweeteners — not ours. |

Questions about NuGO Fiber d'Lish Chocolate Brownie, 12g High Fiber, Vegan, 150 Calories, 16 Count
Q:
I've been buying the chocolate brownie every month for 2 years with 2 day delivery. Now it's not even available for shipping to my area. ??
Answer: I have nothingto say regarding this issue.
Q:
Do this contain Milk?
Answer: No. It’s certified vegan, which means no milk is in it. It is however made in a facility that processes nuts, dairy (milk) and soy.
Answer: Look it up, I don’t use. No milk products listed but it does warn that product is processes on machines that also processes product with milk in the ingredients ????. Hope this information helps. Kathy
Answer: Hi Clos.O, NUGO FIBER D'LISH ...Produced on Equipment that also Processes Peanuts ,Dairy, and Soy.
Answer: It does not. It is certified Vegan :)
Q:
What is the lecithin derived from?
Answer: There is no lecithin amount given in the ingredients. Neither is any mention in the actual ingredients. I would recommend to contact the company and ask them this question.
Answer: The only bar to contain lecithin is the blondie bar. It derives its lecithin from soy.
Q:
the product description and pic are not same . i dont want flavor and fiber bar in pic, want fiber d'lish chocolate brownie. what is it?
Q:
how many grams of sugar?
Answer: Sorry, this "analysis" *adding* the figures together is just wrong. The label clearly shows TOTAL carbohydrate is 30 grams, consisting of 12 grams of fiber, 9 grams of sugar, and 9 grams of "other carbohydrate". Many folks count "net grams" of carbohydrate which would be the 30 grams total less the 12 grams of fiber, or 18 net grams of carbs.
Answer: Total carbohydrate - 30 gm + Other Carbohydrate - 9 gm + Sugar - 9 gm. What do the distinction really mean? Our conclusion must be that the 30 + 9 = 39 complex carbohydrate. The sugar yield will be 39 gms + sugar 9 gm = Total of 48 gms of sugar = 48 x 4 calories per gram = 96 calories per bar with 12 grams of fiber.
Answer: nine (9) grams of sugar per each bar
Answer: 9 grams
Answer: 8g-11g depending on flavor
Answer: 9
Answer: 9 gr
Q:
I've taken Psyllium-based fiber for awhile, 2x day, at day/night (for regularity/consistency), I see these have psyllium in them. Work as good?
Answer: These bars definitely won’t replace fiber that you take for regularity; but if you are traveling or busy & can’t get enough fruits and vegetables, this is a good substitute. They are healthier & more satisfying than many other “nutrition bars” but not a substitute for Metamucil.
Answer: I’ve never had Psyllium, so I can’t comment on comparing them. But, these bars are good tasting, moist and have worked well for me!
Answer: Yes, psyllium is in our Fiber d’Lish bars and supports the health benefits of a high fiber diet.
Answer: In my opinion, yes. I eat one of these a day, every morning. My favorite is the peanut chocolate chip, followed by chocolate brownie and blondie.
Answer: I have found that to be the case. these work very well and are tasty.
Q:
Is there a best time of day you should eat these?
Answer: Eat them anytime. I don't find them "explosive". If you want to be "regular", eat them approximately the same time each day. They are good with coffee.
Answer: You can eat these anytime, I would suggest not too close to mealtime, as they are very filling.
Answer: Hello! Nope, whenever you'd like to enjoy your fiber is fine! :)
Answer: I no longer use, increased my fruit and veggies. I think I used to cut in half and ate one in addition to breakfast and one after lunch. I would not want to over challenge the digestive system too quickly ????
Answer: No. They’re great as snacks or breakfast on the go. Lunch, after lunch, bedtime snack, whenever.
Answer: 10:00AM OR 4:00PM.
Q:
Are the seeds ground up or whole?
Answer: No whole seeds. You can tell bar is high in fiber but no hard pieces. We have been buying them for years to travel with, get extra fiber, or as a healthy snack. They're really good.
Answer: I don't really know, but...my wild guess is ground up.
Answer: I’m not sure. I never noticed them, so I’m guessing ground up.
Q:
Are they soft?
Answer: They are somewhere between soft and firm. Definitely not crunchy. I like the taste and texture. Good source of fiber.
Answer: Yes, NuGO Fiber d"Lish Chocolate is soft, chewy....yet firm.
Answer: Semi-soft.
Answer: "Soft" is a relative word. I would say they are as soft or hard as any regular candy bar.
Answer: Yes, it is comforting, delicious, and soft.
Answer: That was 2015, I can’t even remember yesterday. However, I did not reorder them, so those are the only facts I can share. I truly don’t remember. Good luck!
Answer: Yes. Very. Kind of like a fresh baked muffin.
Answer: Yes, they’re not like fiber one bars more like a Clif bar.
Answer: Hello! Yes, these have a softer consistency.
Answer: They are cheey
Q:
why not offer a variety pack? Brownie is good. Cinnamon raison not so good. Would love to try banana walnut and peanut cc
Answer: They do offer a variety pack now; search for it. My favorites are peanut chocolate chip, chocolate brownie, and blondie.
Product reviews of NuGO Fiber d'Lish Chocolate Brownie, 12g High Fiber, Vegan, 150 Calories, 16 Count
Diana : Great!
*NOTE* this review contains graphic medical information regarding fiber and its effects, lol. you've been warned ;)
as a person with mild-moderate IBS, my digestion ranges from bad constipation to crampy diarrhea. i won't go for 7-9 days, then i can't stop going for 24 hours. last week, i was in the bathroom literally 22 times in one night (i counted), and it was really painful. i just turned 40, and i've had IBS for about 10 years now.
my doctor suggested i try adding more fiber to my diet, but i didn't want to take a handful of pills every day, and i can't stand drinking or eating Metamucil. so i thought i'd try fiber bars.
first i thought about getting Fiber One, then i read about how much sugar is in those things, and how a lot of the fiber isn't organic. doing more research, i found these fiber bars, so i gave them a try.
PROS:
- they taste good. i mean, they aren't candy bars, so they don't taste like a "real" brownie. but they're definitely not bad. in fact, they're pretty tasty. i smear some organic peanut butter on them for that chocolate/PB flavor.
- they're organic. no added processed sugar, only natural flavors, natural protein, no added filler or crap like that. i'm not a die-hard health nut, but i try to watch what i eat these days, and this is a pretty "clean" food.
- nice and soft, yum. sort of like a granola bar. if you keep them on top of the fridge like i do, they'll stay warm and soft because heat rises toward the ceiling. or you can microwave it for 10-15 seconds and it'll be extra warm and soft. they're delish like that.
- they aren't dirt cheap, but for what you get, i feel like the price is very fair. it's a lot cheaper than paying $3 a bar for overhyped other brand names--with those, you're paying for packaging and brand prestige. this company gives you a great product with minimal BS, and the price reflects that.
CONS:
- this isn't really a "con", but START SLOW!!! i really can't stress this point strongly enough. most Americans eat about 5-10g of fiber per day, but adult men should be eating 30-38, and women should eat 20-28.
JUST START WITH HALF A BAR PER DAY FOR 7 DAYS. then eat ONE bar per day for another 1-2 weeks!!
if you chow down on 2-3 of these bars right away, your gut won't have time to get used to all that fiber--and you WILL get crampy and bloated and poop your brains out, and it WILL hurt and be uncomfortable.
i know, it seems like "more is better". you want to get more fiber into your diet NOW. but believe me, fiber friends--GO SLOW. another couple of weeks won't make or break your health. start with half a bar, then move up to one per day.
these are 12g each, so now i eat one in the morning and one at night, 7 days a week.
Before:
- i wouldn't poop for at least a week, then i'd get terribly crampy and achy, and i'd spend an entire morning or evening in and out of the bathroom. awful pain and cramping. a couple times in the past, it got so bad my husband had to come into the bathroom and hold my hand because i was on the verge of an anxiety attack--the pain in my belly and lower back literally felt like i was being stabbed. it was HORRIBLE.
- i missed my cousin's wedding because of my IBS, and i was in the wedding party. i couldn't leave the house =( i was in and out of the bathroom from 4 pm - 2 am that day. it was frickin awful.
- i'd get terrible pain and pressure in my lower belly, and i'd rush into the bathroom hurting so bad i'd be doubled over on the toilet. clutching the side of the sink in pain, i'd manage to squeeze out a bunch of miserable little 1" turds over 30-45 minutes. or i'd have terrible explosive diarrhea.
half an hour later, repeat. sometimes all day or all night. torture.
After:
- i get more gas than i used to, but that's all for the better ^_^ instead of it staying trapped in my gut and causing pain and cramps, my gut is more relaxed--i'd describe it as feeling "smoother". instead of feeling the pain of trapped gas and occasionally expelling short, harsh, angry farts, i release long, rich, gratifying ones with very little odor. it feels SOOOO good :)
- now i hit the bathroom once per day, usually in the morning after i eat. i get a calm, steady pressure in my lower belly, urgent but not painful. i haven't had diarrhea since eating these bars. i also don't feel bloating or cramping anymore.
- i feel relaxed, and i calmly squeeze out slow, solid, satisfying turds about 10-12" long and almost as thick as my wrist. i feel like i'm 14 again. i'm seriously so proud of myself and so happy. i wish i could take pics and share them with the world :D the before/after would be amazing.
NOTE: make sure you drink PLENTY of water each day. that helps the fiber process gently and effectively, passing through your system with gentle grace and comfort. i drink at least 1 liter of water throughout the day, and i'm doing my best to increase that to 2 liters per day.
so that's my review of the joy of fiber. final analysis: if you have IBS or constipation problems, TRY THESE BARS BEFORE TAKING MEDICATION. i thought i was beyond help, and i'd have to live with the pain and sadness of IBS and missing social events. but now i'm back to normal and my gut is pretty happy these days, so i have my LIFE BACK now!! :D
Jason Wick : They're great!
I am amazed at how good these low carb wraps are, and sturdy, too! I am diabetic and have multiple food allergies, including gluten, dairy, yeast, almonds, and eggs. It's difficult to find a good low carb wrap that doesn't include one of these items. I was thrilled when the wrap didn't crumble, crack or break, like other gluten free wraps do. They have a slight coconut flavor that was unusual, but not unpleasant, but after a few bites I didn't notice it anymore and the filling ingredients inside stood out. The texture is a bit chewy and took a few bite to get used to, but it's not so unusual that I won't be buying them again...and again! I'm planning on taking these on vacation overseas. They're flat, lightweight, don't need to be refrigerated, and have a long shelf life. I highly recommend for other diabetics, paleo and keto dieters. Only 70 calories and 4 net carbs per wrap. Finally, I can eat wrap sandwiches again!
UnEarthlyGrl : Expensive product...
I thought the brownie one was alright. It tasted a lot like protein to me. My husband made fun of it and called it bear scat, now I don't like them very much ... haha good quickway to get fiber for sure but they are Soo expensive overall! I would say not worth unless you are desperate.
Demi : 100% satisfied
Love these. The price-to-fiber-to-taste ratio is pretty spot on. They are a LITTLE "twiggy", but 16g of fiber?! What do you expect?!! They taste like chocolate. Very satisfied with this purchase.
C. L. Jones : FINALLY!
My husband and I have been looking for a bar that was high in fiber but did not have any refined sugars or scary ingredients that we couldn't pronounce:) These bars are AMAZING. Our three-year-old loves them too and we have since bought all of the different varieties and have them delivered once a month to our house. I cannot say enough about how great they are. We looked for a long time before we found them and couldn't be happier!
It is me : Yummy
Yummy. Good for a healthier easy snack.
Errin : Yummy Serving of Fiber
I didn’t expect to enjoy these as much as I do. Previous reviews of cardboard taste and high acidity had me questioning the pricey purchase, but I find the Chocolate Brownie to be true to flavor, a great chewy texture, and no issues with acidity (which I am sensitive to). I wish they were more affordable. Ordering the Blueberry Cobbler now, since they’re a better price point.
Update: Blueberry Cobbler is just as enjoyable as the Chocolate Brownie-chewy and flavorful.
The Peanut Chocolate Chip-not so good. Sort of a dull peanut butter flavor; no chocolate chip flavor. Definitely won’t order that flavor again.

Weird flavor.

Aran Isles Artist : Fiber Never Tasted So Good!
Outstanding product … a perfect balance of nutrition and taste … moist yet firm … sweet yet intense … a great, packable energy resource for the outdoors …, or a self-indulgent craving at home.
Michelle : Five Stars
Great snack with lots of fiber! Not the prettiest snack you'll eat, but it's very tasty and fills you up longer than other snack bar products. Good chocolate flavor, but good for you!

jm : Trash
high in acid. not for people with sensitive throats. things like plums, fruit juices and other acidic ingredients makes this thing horrible for someone more interested in alkaline treats. Too much acid and no plain version or plain flavor without the chocolates, fruit and other nonsense. Steer clear.
Betsy Pauly : delicious
delicious and priced right
J. : Delicious
I love these bars! My perfect dessert. It does have 9grams of added sugar but it has so much fiber that it is hard to not eat one everyday. They are very much like a Cliff bar.
NOFATCHICK1 : Excellent source of fiber
Excellent source of fiber, and very high in soluble fiber. I enjoy the taste, but a bit on th pricier side for buying in bulk. Nonetheless excellent bars just wish they were slightly cheaper, and that the price wouldn't fluctuate depending on the flavor.
Andrea : This product is perfect for my Weight Watchers diet
Fiber d'Lish chocolate brownie bar, where have you been all my life? This product is perfect for my Weight Watchers diet, being low in fat and very high in fiber. I eat a half of a bar at a time because of the amount of fiber and drink lots of water with it. I love chocolate and the taste is superb. It is very difficult to find the combination of high quality, high fiber, low fat, and low sugar in a good tasting bar, but this snack is right on the mark.
sam h : One Star
Something wrong with the last two months batches. Doesn't taste the same and is almost inedible.
Janet Spitzer : Check your box
I buy this product every month. This time the bars were stale and some were open

smittydfw : Great fiber bar, when it was available!
I don't think these are currently made anymore, which upsets me bc they were the most effective fiber bars I've ever had.
I did noticed that this particular flavor wasn't as effective as the Cinnamon Raisin one, but it was still good. I originally found these at local organic stores a few years ago, but they gradually stopped stocking them, perhaps due to low volume sales.
mzp : Perfect healthy snack especially for traveling
This nutritional snack adds the fiber we all need more of in our day - especially when traveling. It has a flavorful taste and chewy texture that makes it satisfying to eat. Perfect for traveling.
Bibliophile : Delicious + Nutritious❤️
They taste so good that I think of them as a daily treat. Who knew fiber and protein rich products could be so delicious? This is the first product I have ever subscribed to on Amazon. Yeah, it's that good.
Ashley Moretti : Tasty fiber bar
My favorite fiber bar. Tastes good.

Amazon Customer : Please make them half of the sweetness
Bought 5 times already, tried orange cranberry and peanut flavors too. Brownie is my fav. Wish these could be sugar free or half of the sweetness. Otherwise it’s perfect. Great content of fiber but it’s only half of what you need a day in one bar. Want to eat two but then that’s too much sugar intake.

I've had these before! They are really yummy!!!!
Schredder : They really are d'Lish ... read the review
This fiber bar was a 4 star the first day, a 4.5 star the second day, and 5 stars ever since ... anyone who has tried and tasted many fiber bars, they are not a candy bar, and are not meant to be. The difference being, I want to eat healthier and have no time in the morning, I do not want to eat a candy bar for breakfast, and I need more fiber in my diet. Oh look, d'Lish Fiber Bar, I hit the jackpot. No seriously, it took me 2 or 3 days to adjust to the taste, but by the third morning the bar was delicious with my coffee, and the biggest surprise, they are very filling. I have ordered these twice already and turned one co-worker on to them, and I plan on keeping them on the morning menu for breakfast. I highly recommend this product.
Dee : Five Stars
Good source of fibet.
Vikki Horowitz : Crazy favor contact
This had an OK taste. The amount of fiber in these upset my stomach I wasn’t expecting that much for fiber. That’s not a comment about the product it’s a comment about be careful when you choose a high fiber product if you’re not used to it
tedwards70 : Not that great.
Not that great. They taste like cardboard. I know most fiber bars do. I'll eat them to get them used up, but not to my liking.
Diana : Great!

as a person with mild-moderate IBS, my digestion ranges from bad constipation to crampy diarrhea. i won't go for 7-9 days, then i can't stop going for 24 hours. last week, i was in the bathroom literally 22 times in one night (i counted), and it was really painful. i just turned 40, and i've had IBS for about 10 years now.
my doctor suggested i try adding more fiber to my diet, but i didn't want to take a handful of pills every day, and i can't stand drinking or eating Metamucil. so i thought i'd try fiber bars.
first i thought about getting Fiber One, then i read about how much sugar is in those things, and how a lot of the fiber isn't organic. doing more research, i found these fiber bars, so i gave them a try.
Vikki Horowitz : Crazy favor contact
This had an OK taste. The amount of fiber in these upset my stomach I wasn’t expecting that much for fiber. That’s not a comment about the product it’s a comment about be careful when you choose a high fiber product if you’re not used to it
It is me : Yummy
Yummy. Good for a healthier easy snack.
Jen Ben : I’m a fan.
I love these. I’m not a big sugar fan so I like that they’re not super sweet. It won’t compete with those overly sweet granola bars you might be used to if that’s what you’re going for. It’s soft yet grainy but not in a bad way, just the way you would expect a bar with this much grain to have. The size is pretty small but because it’s so filling that becomes inconsequential. And 48% of our daily fiber in one bar?! That fact alone makes this bar worth it. We should be getting at least 25g of fiber a day. Men need even more than that. Most of us are getting only a fraction of that.
I eat this with my coffee in the morning and it’s a perfect little sweet treat to counter the bitterness.
They sent me the blueberry cobler one on accident once and that one was really good too!
All in all if you’re looking to increase your fiber intake in one simple yummy step- this is the way to go.
Stanley Parker : Less than a full box.
I ordered two boxes of bars. The shipping package was in perfect condition but one of the two bars in the package arrived open, with bars missing and an empty wrapper.
Kat Harrison : Almost too much. Use half a bar to start.
Drink lots and lots of water. Actually gave me painful gas so only take half a bar and they work great.
