Is this non alkaline chocolate?

Answer: No it is not! The only dark chocolate bar that Lindt makes that is absolutely non alkali is the 85% dark chocolate bar.

Answer: Bourbon vanilla beans contain little to no alcohol. The maximum amount of alcohol that is usually present is only 2–3%. I am not sure if your question is about it. Another concern is that dark chocolate with high percent of cocoa is VERY bitter. I can'eat it.

If your toddler or small child sees you eating dark chocolate and wants some, give him/her a bite of this. My kids believe that "mommy chocolate" is gross, even if it's a 70% chocolate bar that they would actually like. I'm not sure how long before they will catch on but I'm hoping to protect my mommy chocolate stash for the next 3-5 years.

My favorite! The bar very thin which enhances the flavor and experience. I find it is a totally unique flavor.. Different and much more addictive than dark chocolate of lesser percentage. I'm a major chocoholic, and when I learned about the health benefits of higher concentrated dark chocolate I had to give it a try. I started off with 90% or so, and predictably I wasn't prepared for the chalky bitterness and spit it out. I knew the higher cacao percent would be different, but this was nowhere near the typical sugary sweet milk chocolate that's popular today! I then tried it again with 82%... not bad, not bad. Much easier to get into. Just a little bitter, but still very, very enjoyable. The time after that was spent experimenting with different brands and getting mixed results. I wanted to go up to 99% and decided to order this one off Amazon after I couldn't find the bar in Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Whole Market, etc.

One thing I love about this "bar" is that it's actually just a bunch of small chocolate squares pre-cut and arranged. Perfect for sampling/handing out for others to try. As for the taste itself... interesting. The first bite caught me off guard, and memories of my first ever dark chocolate experience came flooding back to me. Initially very bitter, but after a few more squares and experimentation it actually became quite delicious. The key to full appreciation is to just let it melt in your mouth. Place the square on your tongue and enjoy the flavors slowly release. Going back the next day, I've also discovered this stuff is great in coffee!

Overall it's very good, but it's definitely an acquired taste. Don't let the initial bitterness deter you, this is delicious! If you've never had dark chocolate before, I highly recommend starting lower (around 50-70% cacao) and working your way up.

They packaged it with some stuff to keep it cool and it wasn't melted when it came. I think the 99% is very sensitive to heat, so that's why it's so expensive. For me it's great much different than the 90%, this is no sweetness, but still tastes good. You only need to eat 1 little square and you're satisfied. The 90% I just want to eat the whole bar at once.

For those that are, this is one of the better bars of cocoa I've had. Awesome for people on keto looking for a chocolaty snack.

This when in the fridge for a few minutes actually tastes really good. For some people it can be really bitter but you know what this whole bar is just 220 calories and it is huge! I can eat the whole bar and not feel bad about it nor worry about gaining 2 pounds over it like I would with a Hershey's bar of the same size which can be over 880 calories. Why deal with fattness like that? Eat your chocolate and no fat! An anorexics' dream come true right here! I will defiantly order more. I wish Miami would stop being fat *beep* and start selling these. There are 80% cocoa version but those whole bars are over 1100 calories with 120g of Carbs. >_> Thank you Lindt for making a skinnier, more beautiful me. ^_^

Very strong chocolate. You can only find in actual Lindt stores or here online. I love the 90% dark choc Lindt ones you can find in grocery, so was interested in trying this. I love dark chocolate and can eat this- but only every once in a while, as a special treat.
