Are the mints hard or soft with a smooth texture

Answer: These mints are firm, not too hard and not soft. Will not break your teeth when you bite into the mint. Very good. We received some of the Wilhelmina mints when we were in Germany last year. We enjoyed them so much that when we returned to the United States I went online and ordered some more of the mints.

Answer: The mints are similar to a thick Necco wafer, softer in texture. The flavor is lovely, I have shared and received lots of good comments with a request for more. If you like mint, you won’t be disappointed.

Answer: No, they are wrapped in a sealed bag but inside that bag they are unsealed.

Answer: i don't know about "traditional Dutch Mints" but these are white with strong mint flavor. i don't remember seeing them in other color when i was in Amsterdam.

These mints are fabulous. Plus the tin is adorable. I only have 1 issue, when the sender mailed this item I purchased 2 things from them. It was shipped with no wrapping around the 2 items, so the tins Banged against each other and came with a few dents in them.

I first discovered Wilhelmina Mints at the check out at World Market. I'm a sucker for mints, so buying these was a no-brainer. But what I got was AMAZING! Hands down my favorite mints, and everyone I give one too agrees! Sweet, minty, long lasting, not chalky like other mints. You might like other things about other mints, so I can't promise you'l llove them as much as I do, but for me, there is no other mint.

I read the reviews and thought that the packaging problem would have been corrected. Alas, it was not.
The tin had a small dent, the cover was a little dirty and there were some scratches. It arrived in a lightly padded envelope with nothing around it. It should have been mailed in a small box with some protection.

The tin itself is nice, the mints were not broken. I bought it for a gift and did not have time to return it.

I got hooked on these mints after buying a small box from World Market, and decided to purchase this tin. The tin itself isn't damaged, but the mints inside were all rough around the edges and sent up a huge cloud of powder when I opened the bag. The mint on the left is from World Market and the mint on the right is from this tin. They are different sizes, they have a slightly different woman stamped on them, and on these mints, the woman is on both side instead of one. The ingredients are the same and the manufacturer address is the same, but they don't look or taste the same. I think I will continue to buy these from World Market and use the tin for button storage or a gift.

These little mints are a delightful way to end a meal or just to munch on. The flavor isn't overly pepperminty nor too sweet but just right. The candies themselves are beautiful coin sized mints with a wonderful cameo imprint on them. They are stark white and come in a beautiful white/blue printed tin.

These are extremely difficult to find in stores and the price here on Amazon is just about right. Will purchase again and again!

I had originally bought a box of these at World Market and loved the sweet, huge, not overly strong mints so I decided to look for them on Amazon. I was so excited to find this tin of them! It really is the best value and the tin is so nice! Also, they are so fresh.

If you're a peppermint person like me, you will love these not-too-sweet, not too strong long-lasting mints! It's really worth a try. Also...a great gift idea!

I had been buying the Fortuin Wilhelmina Peppermints at World Market but they're often out. I wanted mints to settle my stomach after surgery so I bought these thinking they're the same, they're not. So instead of settling my stomach, they actually made it worse, oh well, live and learn!

I'm delighted to be able to purchase these Wilhelmina peppermints which I have known for almost 80 years. They come in an attractive tin with authentic pictures of the small, historic Friesian city of Dokkum where in, I believe , a.d.752 the missionary Boniface was murdered. I've ordered these mints three times, and each time the tin is irreparably dented. Could this be St. Boniface's revenge?

Wow! I'm the kinda guy who loves anything mint. Spearmint is obviously my number one draft pick but peppermint is definitively a close second. These mints are perfect. I love enjoying a mint after a coffee or lunch or something salty. These have the perfect texture and peppermint taste. The problem for me is they are way too addictive. Once I pop the first and need five more. I've been searching for the perfect mint and I've found it. Bonus: The tin can is pretty cool to store stuff in or give it to your mom for her to do mom with it.

The Fortuin Wilhelmina Peppermint candies are wonderful. However, I ordered these delft tins as something I could use for gifts. The tins arrived so dented and scratched that I could not use them for their intended purpose. While I love the peppermints, I would not order these decorative tins, because they were not wrapped well and suffered damaged in shipping.
