Answer: Almost 9. I buy the 60 bar box 3 times every two years. I cut them in half, even. Nice 58 calorie treat

Answer: I did not check the expiration date, but mine has always been very fresh. Yes, you do get 12 bars for $6.58.

Answer: I bought these Curly Wurlys for a friend as a gift. She has been to several parts of the globe and always remembered them. As she just told me, "they're all gone", so no way to check expiration date now. I did get 12 for $6.58 plus shipping and she was very pleased with them. Brought back fond memories. Can't put a price on that. This is a very good buy and quality, according to her, was great.

I bought these because someone told me they are just like marathon bars, my favorite candy bars back in the 70's. These are way too sticky and hard to eat. It's like eating a giant milkdud and impossible to get them off your teeth. ????

When I was a kid, my favorite candy bar was the Mars Marathon Bar. Curly Wurly tastes just like those discontinued Marathon bars did.

If you want to see what the old Marathon candy bar looked like, search on YouTube for the old 70s commercials. I watched one and it brought back childhood memories.

You can read the history of Curly Wurly on Wikipedia, which states that "A US version, called 'Marathon', was manufactured by Mars Inc and first sold in August 1973. The bright red packaging had printed on it a ruler with inch (8) and cm (20) markings on the reverse demonstrating that it was as long as it claimed. It was discontinued in October 1981."

It took a long time to get these shipped to America, but when they finally got here we were so excited. My husband used to eat these all the time as a child (as they were marketed here in America, the "Marathon" bar, which was discontinued in 1981.) The look on his face when he saw these was priceless. Feeling nostalgic, I ordered this candy from the UK after reading that it was the Marathon candy bar I loved as a kid; that only the name had changed. Unfortunately, I disagree. While it isn't a bad candy, it just doesn't taste like the Marathon bar.
Delivery estimation was 30 days, but it only took about two weeks. There is no tracking information given so it's a guessing game as to the exact date.

Love Curly Wurlies but this is the first time I ordered from this supplier. Candy was not melted but the chocolate coating was grey and powdery. They looked like very old chocolate. Expiration dates were in 2017 but there may have been some heat problems in transport from Great Britain. I don't know why the braids of caramel were perfect and did not show the slightest bit of melting yet the chocolate coating seemed to have had heat or age changes. I do appreciate that I ordered 24 bars and got 25 since they came in packs of 5. The chocolate coating wasn't terrible but was not glossy and fresh like it would be if I bought a single bar at a World Market but at a MUCH higher price per bar. They will all get eaten and I believe the problem with the chocolate came from shipping temperature issues and not an issue with the supplier.

These are delicious little things - it definitely reminds me of the Marathon bar I ate as a kid. It's braided chewy caramel covered in milk chocolate.

Just beware these things are pretty small by U.S. standards. A 27g bar is the equivalent to about 7 Milk Duds (although these bars are better than Milk Duds). It was a great treat and I have no regrets, was just surprised at how small they were when I first opened the box.

They're delicious! Anyone that's over 45 May remember Marathon bars that were sold here in the states...it's the same thing!!! I was so excited when i found them initially in Disney epcots British section! I have been buying them online ever since...but here's a tip...that i learned the hard way...don't order in the summer unless you can get them indoors immediately. They're chocolate and Carmel...you can imagine.

Sent from England but arrived in good shape. I had to share them with my business partner though. She had been to the UK and apparently had not found a good substitute for them in the US. I had read about them in the Stuart MacBride books where the police in Aberdeen are always snacking on iconic British and Scottish treats. So when I see treats he mentions in his police procedurals I give them a try. We both enjoyed them though I doubt it is something I will buy frequently if I have to wait for them to be shipped from England.
