Answer: Great question! Our Peppermint Crunch Bars have peppermint oil and brittle in 70% Dark Chocolate, giving a crunchy texture. Our Mint 70% Dark Chocolate Bar does not have brittle, so it has a smooth texture. It also has a mixture of spearmint and peppermint oils, giving it a slightly different flavor from the Peppermint Crunch as well.

All my life I've loved York peppermint patties. However I have not had one in 7 years because I started eating more healthy but goodness how I miss them. Not any more, I tried these because Theo is the only chocolate I will eat now, and oh my they were fantastic. Smooth silky dark chocolate with the refreshing taste of peppermint. I already bought a 2nd box. Now it is a tie between the mint and the orange for my favorite Theo dark chocolate bar.

I don't know if the order I received was outdated or what but the chocolate was extremely bland and low quality. The slight mint taste of the chocolate resembled toothpaste so that was not appetizing either. I do not recommend this product at all.

Not what you're looking for if you want a burst of mint. The mint here serves as an undertone. The chocolate here would probably not please the uninitiated. 70% cacao leaves some bitterness intact but it all comes together for a refined and elegant chocolate experience.

Since I found out I am diabetic or at least pre-diabetic I have gone very low carb. I have become much more conscientious about not eating things that might be bad for my health. I like it that this chocolate does not contain soy, since I'm trying to stay off of it knowing it negatively affects my mood in larger amounts. It's hard to avoid soy, since it's in so many foods. I haven't found another chocolate bar that doesn't contain soy.
Since this is dark chocolate it has little enough sugar that I can savor it in small amounts. It is heavenly! I didn't used to care for dark chocolate that much, but I think part of the reason I like this chocolate so much is that the hint of mint offsets any bitterness. It seems to make it taste a little sweeter than it actually is.
I like to support fair trade and agricultural practices that work with, instead of against the environment.

I've really enjoyed the other Theo Chocolate Bars I've tried: and , but this one just didn't do it for me. The mint was overwhelming, and seemed to be more of a spearmint rather than peppermint, which is my favorite. If you love a strong spearmint taste, this will not disappoint. For me, it was a "learning experience" and I've put the rest of the bar in the kitchen to be used in a baking recipe where maybe the mint won't be so in-your-face.
