Is there lead in this product?

Answer: It doesn't appear so. (I am eating one as I answer.) The packaging says it contains ginger steeped in cane sugar, and that is all.

Are these cut into small dice? (Are the pieces pea-sized, grape-sized?)

Answer: Good day---These are all not the same size but they are not too small or too large. Average between a dime & nickel size in diameter--

Answer: The pieces are not uniform in size, but could be cut with a sharp knife if necessary. I'd say the average size is about the size of a single dice. Some may be a little larger or a little smaller. They are lightly covered with a sugar, and chewy. Very strong ginger flavor, and as you chew you'll notice some of the ginger's fiber. I find them excellent help for indigestion as I have GERD and also Gastroenteritis. One or two at the most does the trick. I hope this helps!

Answer: The shipping weight is listed at 6.6 pounds. Each package contains 16 oz = 1 lb. It seems much more likely to me that the shipping weight implies six 1-lb. packages plus 6/10 pound of tare, than a single 16-oz. package and 5.6 lbs of packaging.

Answer: $7.oo per 16 oz. bag plus shipping and sales tax if applicable. In all the years I've purchased it I haven't checked the bag{s} for an expiration date. R N Blair

I LOVE these. Ginger is so good for you but these quench my sweet tooth and calm my digestive tract as well. I buy a lot of this and have never been disappointed. The 11 lb bag was a bit much so I order these more convenient pouches.

Love these for snacking and for times when my stomach is up set from medical procedures. These are the best by far I have tried.
Store them in a small plastic snap top container to keep them fresh. It has the side benefit of catching the sugar that drops off the cube, which we use for tea, cooking, etc.

I love crystallized ginger! I love Reed's because it's just cane sugar and ginger....no preservatives. I won't discuss how bad the sugar is for me, but I tell myself that it's better than eating other types of candy. Don't you just love rationalizing?
