Questions about Falim 100 Pieces Sugar Free Chewing Gum-Damla Sakizli
Q:
Does this gum have any sweetness to it? Im wondering if the natural flavor is just flavoring or if they added a sweetener. I prefer no sweetness.
Answer: You might be in luck. I have just started chewing it, but I have been chewing gum all too frequently since I quit smoking in 1993. I wanted to see if there was such a thing as an unsweetened gum. These days, we now have flavored, but completely unsweetened carbonated soft drinks (LaCroix and its various copycats) so why not a gum? I found this. It arrived yesterday. The first adjustment was chewing 1 piece instead of 2. There is a mild, almost incense-like flavor. I am hoping I cal release my gum dependence, or at least moderate the sorbitol/Xylitool usage, with this gum. Worth a try.
Answer: There is no sweetness or flavor. There is a mint version, but the mint flavor is barely detectable. Also be aware that this gum is quite stiff. I use this gum (1/2 of a piece) together with a frankincense tear which makes the gum a perfect texture.
Answer: They have only natural gum mastic flavour. There is no any sweetness.
Answer: No sweetness- just plain gum.
Answer: It has no sweetness, it has a slight pine herby kind of flavor. I prefer it over sweet gum.
Answer: The gum pictured has no sweetness at all.
Answer: No sweetness. It does have a slight herb-ish flavor
Answer: There is a little confusion here, the wrapping has a slight herb scent, but the gum itself is completely flavorless.
Answer: No, there's no sweetness.
Answer: I don't find it sweet at all. It has a slight herbal smell and taste.
Q:
I don't see an ingredients list anywhere on this page. How can I buy any type of food without reading the ingredients first?
Answer: Mastic gum, soy, natural flavor(whatever that is ????),color(E171)?, antioxidant Bha?...I won't be buying it because I don't know all the ingredients, hope this was helpful, blessings????
Answer: Gum Base, Natural Flavor, Color (E171), Antioxidant Bha, Soy
Q:
Is this gum very hard and tough?
Answer: It is kind of hard when you start chewing, but it softens up. It never gets as soft as "regular" gum, but this seems like it can last forever. It doesn't breakdown like other gums do.
Answer: It is harder than standard gum,but not so hard that it is impossible to chew. That is, unless the product is old.
Answer: It is initially hard and tough when compared to normal gum (extra, orbit, etc), but it gets a lot softer as you chew. Typically I only chew half a piece at a time because a whole piece is too much to get started softening. I enjoy this gum because once softened, the texture stays the same for a long time, where as other gums start to dissolve and become more of a paste after a while. I have a lot of fillings and caps on my teeth and I have had no problems chewing my half pieces.
Answer: Yes,it is more hard and tough than most gums. I use it whenever I cough due to a throat tickle and it works very well for me. I use this gum because I cannot have sugar or artificial sugar, so it serves it's purpose for me. I use it exclusively because of that, but other people can be more choosy.
Answer: It is stiffer than normal gum, I mix it with 1 stick Trident sometimes. UT is not super tough though, at least to me.
Answer: at first bite a bit, but later, it becomes softer.
Q:
can chewing this gum improve your jawline????
Answer: Yes absolutely, but start slow and work your way up- otherwise you might have jaw issues rather than the desired effect. Source: Been chewing this type of gum for ~25 years and have a pronounced jawline.
Answer: Also you’ll literally loose weight. I could be cold and chew and be sweating. That’s mostly with mastic gum though rather than falim.
Answer: Yes. It does firm the jawline and increase the muscle size in the jaw as well as possibly stimulate jaw bone in a similar manner that weight bearing exercise stimulates bone mass throughout the body in people.
Answer: yes, but start slow
Q:
Does this have nicotine in it ?
Answer: not nicotine ...
Answer: Of course not. It is regular chewing gum, not nicotine gum.
Answer: It doesn't but I found this gum kinda taste like unflavored nicorette. I used nicorette to quit smoking and I used this gum to quit nicorette. Worked.
Answer: No it does not and it is not sweet at all, if you really want to taste the gum without sugar or sweetener, you can purchase it. This is only gum no sugar no sweetener, it is better for your teeth than any other regular gum sold in US
Answer: Definitely not. It is not a nicotune gum. It is a natural flavor, sugar free gum.
Answer: Nope.
Q:
Is this halal
Answer: Yes, it is halal. Produced in Turkey
Answer: Yes. Halal
Answer: I don't know what that is, but I highly recommend NOT purchasing this gum. It is an extremely bad product. I tried one piece and threw the whole package in the garbage. It is hard, tasteless and a complete waste of money since it was not returnable. Even though it was old and stale tasting, you cannot return it. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
Answer: Yes.

It appears this seller is not answering a common question completely. Are there any sweeteners? Natural or otherwise in the flavoring?
Answer: There is no sweetener. For flavoring, still no answer from the producer which type of flavoring they are using. I'm asking now again. Sorry for the situation.
Answer: No, no sweeteners, natural or otherwise. That's why I like it. Is basically just the chewy substance and nothing more.

Answer: There is no flavoring and definitely no sweetener.
Answer: This is very bland and no sweeteners. Very hard to chew which is good for the jaw. I only chew this gum.
Answer: I don’t think there is sugar or any sweeteners! It is just a rubbery texture gum
Answer: None at all. Very little flavor, and zero sweetness from any source.
Q:
Hello i want to see fda documents.
Answer: didnt see any when i purchased this item
Q:
I hear it's hard, but is it really sticky? (like caramel-sticky?) i have dental crowns and don't want to worry about them falling off.
Answer: Not sticky like caramel. Its hardness, "stickiness" and taste could be described by saying "it's like gum that has already been chewed for 12 hours." That's in the first few minutes. Then it gets softer and is still like the ABC gum. The taste never gets better.
Answer: No, not sticky. Yes, it's harder than most gums. I have several crowns and have no problems.
Answer: No No Not sticky at all, it is hard but but gets soft enough as you chew it.
Q:
What is the difference between how the gum in the green box and gum in blue box taste? I have the green now, I would say there is no flavor to it.
Answer: There is natural mint flavor in the green one while the blue box has gum mastic flavor. On the other hand, they are insignificant flavors.
Q:
How much mastic gum is in these?
Answer: Maybe half a teaspoon, to start. A bit more than a piece of nicotine gum. Seems to grow in volume the longer you chew it...
Answer: 100 count
Q:
Does this product contain a sugar substitute such as aspartame?
Answer: lmaooo no. this is straight up completely free of sugar/sweeteners
Answer: No! It's not sweetened in any fashion!
Answer: No. It's not sweet at all.
Answer: No
Q:
Also does this have any kind of breath freshening effect? Oddly I see nothing in the reviews about this Thank you.
Answer: Since there is no aroma or sweetener in Falim gums, It cannot be said that they are breath-freshening. Mint or carbonate flavored falims can do this, but they still taste very mild compared to regular chewing gum.
Answer: It stimulates salivation, so it freshens breath in some respects, but it won't add scent like a mint gum would.
Answer: This gum has no flavor or flavoring. It is neutral. I do find however that it freshens the mouth, perhaps just because the chewing itself helps cleanse the mouth/teeth.
Answer: Not that I know of. It is difficult to chew, which is its attraction. It is recommended that it be chewed for two hours to develop jaws.
Answer: No it tastes like oregano and ashtrays
Answer: It does not. It’s very bland.
Q:
Do any of the ingredients use non kosher materials? for example does the "gum base" or "flavoring" consist partly of lard or any unkosher ingredients?
Answer: This gum not kosher . Ingredients also non kosher
Answer: No dont have any kosher
Q:
is there any way i could sample this gum before I buy it in bulk?
Answer: We don't do samples but you can purchase it and if you decide to order in bulk we can refund you the sample
Q:
There seems to be a quote on the gum wrapper. I'm able to translate it but I can't tell where it's from. Does anyone know?
Answer: This gum originaly from turkey.
Answer: They tell you your future but it's in Turkish
Answer: They are small anonymous words. You can think them as fortune cookies, same thing at Turkey.
Q:
is this falim plain or flavored? I am looking for plain
Answer: plain, but make sure you have strong teeth,as,it is very coarse...to make it less hard for me, i put one or two drops of olive oil on the gum,& i'm good to go...no calories, or fake sugar
Q:

Product reviews of Falim 100 Pieces Sugar Free Chewing Gum-Damla Sakizli
Mendoza : Fake mastic!!!!
I had this gum long before and I loved it; it was made of real mastic. This item now has a very cheap package, the gum doesn't taste like mastic; even doesn’t feel like mastic when you chew it. I belive it is a fake gum and might even be harmful. Do not buy it!
Lynne : No flavor
This gum has no flavor but that is not why I bought it. It is good for my digestion, I like that it has mastic. Will be buying more . Nice individual wrapping makes it easy to travel with
Karen : Does the job
This gun has no flavor and it does get very thick. However, my sister in law loves this. It helped her to get off Nicotine gum
Na0515 : Why the soy oil???
Lasts a long time since I’m not worried about losing a sweetness. They have a pleasant herbal taste. My only complaint is the hydrogenated soy oil. Hydrogenated “any” oil is toxic... they take a non saturated omega 6 oil and pressurize it with hydrogen atoms to make it “saturated”, albeit a fake version, and our bodies store it as fat and see it as a toxin and it causes oxidative damage to our cells. “Soybean causes a whole other round of endocrine health issues, and for some reason they have decided to use both. It’s a shame because this product is great otherwise.
MK-N : Value for the money
100 pieces. Such a deal. I got these to chew to help with dry mouth and to exercise my mouth. I'm supposed to chew for 2 hours a day. It takes 30 minutes for this gum to get soft. I lasted another 30 minutes because this was my first time doing this. The taste is unusual. I'm not quite used to it and not sure if I like it. But it does the trick and after 30 minutes it's soft enough to blow bubbles. Definitely a flavor that takes getting used to. I doubt if kids would like it. The box was a little crushed in transit but it's a thin box. The box has a plastic wrapper. One piece of gum was unwrapped. I threw it away.
Mother of Four : Very hard to chew
Gum is very hard to chew but then again, it’s to be this way. My son purchased these to help with his jaw line and has purchased a few more times. Flavor is okay!
Alex : this gum is great for 0 calorie finatics
this gum is great for 0 calorie finatics ..like me...very coarse gum...hard to chew, but i have a solution...just put a tad of olive oil on it, and it softens the gum...(both are relatively tasteless)
Carolyn J. Ridpath : Gum for strengthening jaws
There is no flavor, which is desirable. It is also why I gave "flavor" a three.

Jerome : Packaging smells bad
The packaging honestly smells like middle eastern spices, incense, and sweaty armpits. The gum itself doesn't really have a smell, but the packaging is just awful. I have to keep it in a zip lock bag otherwise it stinks up the entire room. I bought this to workout my jaw muscles, and for that purpose it's great, but I will be looking for a better alternative with some semblance of flavor.
MizzouTiger : Love it!
I have always looked for a gum that has the lowest amount of additives and holds up being chewed vigorously! If you want a gum that holds up and is not into fancy smells and flavors ( flavor and smell neutral) and helps with cleaning your teeth, give this a try. Cannot beat the price!
I usually chew only a third of one piece at a time! The gum is harder to chew at the beginning but within few minutes gets softer and hold up all day long or longer if you chose to keep it around.
Michael : Tastes like parsley
Sounds strange but it's actually quite nice. It's also not terribly hard, from how people talk about it I thought it was going to be extremely tough to chew or something but once you get it started it's about like regular gum.
Tanner Bowen : Mastic gum vs. Falim gum
Bought this as an alternative to mastic gum, and I gotta say that mastic gum is much better in terms of building your jaw muscles than Falim is. A couple problems with Falim include: feeling like your chewing on rubber, lacks resistance when chewing (almost as soft as regular chewing gum), and subpar packaging. Mastic gum, on the other hand, had none of these issues. It may be on me for not looking more into the disparities between the two, but I digress
MP : Good herbal tasting gum
Really like this gum - long chew time - pleasant herb flavor- not the sugary sweetness and stickiness of regular gum
KAYCEE : Great for Dry Mouth problem
Exactly what i wanted. No taste. No sugar. Just useful for a dry mouth. A little thick but easy to chew. Each.piece is size of small piece of tootsie roll. Interesting smell in the box but 0 smell when chewing. This is a great product.
M. Val Haynes : Love it!
I chew a LOT of gum. I'm on several medications, which make my mouth dry, so I add a piece or two of sugar free Falim to my Trident bubblegum, and it lasts forever, and makes it seem juicier. I don't know how this basically flavorless gum does it, but it makes the Trident wetter and more flavorful.
Dansel De Luna : Careful: BHT, BHA
Great product, tasteless, but has an herb like scent/back of the mouth "taste"; what I mean is, no taste on the tongue, but an "aroma" in the mouth; piney taste maybe juniper, but more like christmas pine lol. Anyway, great product until I read the ingredients... it has BHT, BHA. Anyone who is avoiding these preservatives, do not buy this! Otherwise, good product.
Amazon Customer : Little Flavor, Leaves Your Mouth Feeling Clean
Very pleased with this. I'd like it if the mastic flavor was a bit stronger, but it's fine. It's a fairly stout gum, and I haven't had it break down yet in the hour or so I've chewed it. It leaves your mouth feeling clean. Not minty, not fruity, no sweetness; just clean. It won't pollute your mouth with flavor when you want to taste something else. I'd prefer it if the pieces were wrapped in wax paper instead of plastic, but that's a minor point. I'll definitely buy again.

Virgil : Unexpectedly strong, strange flavor
Since I've heard this version described as "original/unflavored" (and I chew normal gum until long after it loses its flavor) I was expecting this gum to be a little bland. But while the "volume" of the flavor isn't as intense as you get out of typical mint/cinnamon gums, it is a flavor that is distinct, unavoidable, and clinging.
You know how a Cost Plus World Market smells? That cloying combination of dusty imported wicker furniture, Middle Eastern spices, and stale incense smoke? That's what this gum tastes like. The flavor is strong enough that the smell hit me as soon as I opened the shipping envelope; after about 20 minutes of chewing, the intensity had faded a little, but I had the unpleasant sensation that this was only because the smell of the gum was now surrounding me like a cloud, masking the actual taste.
This is the only time I've ever had to brush my teeth after chewing a piece of gum. It's a pity, too, because the texture of the gum is nice, a lot firmer than most. I kind of want to try another flavor, but the taste of this one was so offputting that I'm not sure I'll be able to get up the courage (what if the mint turns out to taste like Minty Pier 1??) and the fact that the individual wrappings are plastic (that's a lot of non-biodegradable packaging in a 100-pack) is probably the final dealbreaker for me.
BK : Plastic Flavor
Beware the regular flavor has no flavor so it just takes like the plastic wrap, very plastically, and no returns
Alex : this gum is great for 0 calorie finatics

Amazon Customer : Good
There is really no flavor but there is a faint herb flavor, I chew it everyday. My jaw looks better and is stronger, I usually chew 2 pieces at a time. I don’t recommend to chew 3 because your jaw and teeth are going to hurt.
doug woodyard : Nothing special, not tough gum
This is just standard gum. There is nothing special about it other than it has no sugar and tastes just like a bandaid like other people have mentioned. It's not tough either. There is little difference between a stick of trident and this in terms of toughness. I paid $10 for a pack of 100.
I wouldn't say its nessesarily bad gum but it's certainly not worth it in terms of price or what people claim it to be.
You can get original Trident in a 42 pack for $2.00. $6 get you 146 pieces vs. $10 for 100 pieces of this.
The Matt : Tasteless Rubber But That’s What I Wanted
Well, it’s like chewing rubber but that’s what I expected. No taste at all but that’s what I expected. The good thing is that unlike the sugarless gym you find at any store, this stuff will never dissolve in your mouth, and I chewed a single piece for like 12 hours...lol! Just wish I could blow bubbles with this stuff but you can’t.
Brooke B : Chew w caution if you have TMD!
Pleasantly surprised by this gum. It has a mild, pine-y, medicinal flavor and is quite easy to chew. I will say, though, it did make my jaws tired after chewing a while and I even had some popping in my TMJ. I don’t suffer from TMD so it’s not like the gum exacerbated anything, BUT if you do have TMD, I would highly discourage you from chewing this gum.
Overall, I love the simplicity of this gum and the earthy flavor. I’ll definitely “chews” this gum over all the sweetened, flavored store-bought stuff out there.
Michael : Good, plain, sugar and sweetener free gum
Almost no flavor, as described. Kind of an herbal smell/essence. One of the only kinds of gum I found that doesn’t have sugar or artificial flavor. Harder than regular gum, but not bothersome. A couple pieces of gum fell out of the wrapper during shipping. This was the best price that I found from various providers.
Nick S : Bizarre Flavor
Really weird gum. The “original” flavor is like a sour pickle taste mixed with dusty warehouse floor. I don’t get it. Bought this originally because I read that it’s not as soft as normal gum and the flavor lasts longer but I found neither of these to be true either. It’s so cheap you can pick it up for yourself just for the novelty and try it yourself - but I wouldn’t.
Malo59 : I like it
Thisnis not sugar candy gum. It is is a different type of taste that takes getting use to forsure. But after you get use to it, well ya get use to it. Maybe can help for smokers or people that have a need to chew on stuff. I personally use it to try and help my jaw muscles. Butbthese pices are skinny the other pack with that is not individual pieces is better... I haven't rried the flavored Falim gum. I will eventually
Matt : Pickle flavor?
Tons of gum for the price! Great chewing especially for hungry mouths. My compliant was it smelled and tasted (at first) like pickles. Maybe choose the flavored one.
Tristan Taylor : Exactly as Described - I love this gum
I absolutely despise flavored gum. I couldn't give a reason as to what warrants my disgust, but if I had to give a reason it may be due to the obvious fake weird flavoring. In any case, I love chewing gum. I chew gum when I study, when I shower, when I'm getting ready, at all times of the day except when I am running, as not to choke and die. This stuff is perfect. A very very subtle hint of herbs, but beside that, nothing else. It is a very tough chew, but it is perfected for my jaw, a seasoned chewer. It also lasts very long, unlike the disgusting, puny flavored gums. I would reccomend this gum to anybody with a love for chewing gum and a distaste for artificial flavors.
For the record, I'm not being paid to say this. I legitimately just love this gum.
Barbara Bush : Gum has a plain flavor which is good.
This gum is very plain which is great! There was a suggestion in a book to use this gum to give one's jaw muscles exercise as much of our food is soft. This gum works very well for the purpose as it has a bland flavor. Thank you.
Carolyn J. Ridpath : Gum for strengthening jaws
There is no flavor, which is desirable. It is also why I gave "flavor" a three.
Dylan Lasich : Virtually tasteless never dissolving gum
Awesome product. I've always complained about most chewing gums for multiple reasons. Most of them are loaded with extra sugar/ingredients or the flavors are way too strong. Others breakdown too quickly and that's a big downside in my book, for I like to chew my gum for quite a few hours at a time (I find it wasteful to go through multiple pieces in a day). This gum however is just what I needed.
As soon as I unwrapped the box, I could immediately smell the slight hint of "pine" that other reviewers have said they smelled too so it had me a bit worried just because of how pungent it was initially. But as soon as you start chewing a piece the taste is VERY minimal. It virtually is "tasteless" but again, very slight hint of a "pine" taste, I don't really know how else to describe it. I personally enjoy the slight hint of it, and I don't think most people would be bothered by it. So far the few pieces I've chewed have been for around 3-4+ hours at a time and I can say this gum does not break down at all which I really enjoy.
So again, if you're looking for a gum that is pretty much tasteless, doesn't breakdown, and affordable to purchase in bulk, this product is for you.
Update**
6/15/16: still very happy with this product. In fact, I've noticed since my original review that the "pine" taste/smell I mentioned initially pretty much dissipated after using this gum for the first week. Everytime I go unwrap a new piece I don't smell it or taste it anymore! So basically I can now claim the gun is 100% tasteless and odor free. My wife still tells me breath smells like pine trees when I go to kiss her but she thinks it's a fresh smell :)
Otherwise, good product.
doug woodyard : Nothing special, not tough gum
This is just standard gum. There is nothing special about it other than it has no sugar and tastes just like a bandaid like other people have mentioned. It's not tough either. There is little difference between a stick of trident and this in terms of toughness. I paid $10 for a pack of 100.
I wouldn't say its nessesarily bad gum but it's certainly not worth it in terms of price or what people claim it to be.
You can get original Trident in a 42 pack for $2.00. $6 get you 146 pieces vs. $10 for 100 pieces of this.
Fernanda : Tasteless chews
I love these. I was looking for a sugarless and flavorless gum, and boy these are perfect. I have an oral fixation, and often chew on pen caps, or vape, or chew excessive amounts of gum.... But there is danger in all 3, and i pulled out some of my fillings with regular sugarless gum, so....When i first tried them, they did have an odd flavor to them, but it quickly goes away, and then you just get used to it. It also has a harder chew, so it has been breaking my habit of chewing so much-and it's a good exercise for you jaw. :)
skh : Perfect for weaning off NICORETTE,!!
Same consistency as Nicorette with a tiny hint of medicinal flavor!! Perfect substitute. Had my first piece and immediately ordered 2 more boxes
Mother of Four : Very hard to chew
Gum is very hard to chew but then again, it’s to be this way. My son purchased these to help with his jaw line and has purchased a few more times. Flavor is okay!
Matt : Pickle flavor?
Tons of gum for the price! Great chewing especially for hungry mouths. My compliant was it smelled and tasted (at first) like pickles. Maybe choose the flavored one.
Amazon Customer : My last order has a weird smell / taste to it
This chewing gum is very particular, it may not be everybody's cup of tea but I love it. I;m very familiar with the taste and texture and consistency, and if you know and like the "real" mastique flavor, then this chewing gum is right for you. I ordered it 3 times so far. I love that I can order it from amazon, had no problem with packaging, delivery etc. My only negative comment is regarding my last order. In this batch there is something odd about the taste. There is an extra smell - flavor that I'm not used to. It smells/tastes weird the moment I open the package and start chewing and then it fades away, but it is still bothering me. I don't think it is a different ingredient but it might be due where it is stored (temperature/humidity or smth).
W. Woods : tastes like grass or pine needles
I like the consistency - it's durable and doesn't dissolve but it's chewable. But I don't like the taste. At first, I thought it tasted like pine trees but maybe it's more like grass. Thankfully the taste of the chewed gum is weaker than the scent of the unchewed gum when smelled from the box. My wife doesn't notice the smell or taste at all which is odd to me. I'd give it a shot since it's cheap and decide for yourself. I'll keep it around to chew if I'm desperate.
BK : Plastic Flavor
Beware the regular flavor has no flavor so it just takes like the plastic wrap, very plastically, and no returns
Lydia : No sugar or fake sugar
I use this gum for jaw strengthening. Love that it has no flavor or sugar. Works great. Lots of gum pieces for the price.
BK : Plastic Flavor
Beware the regular flavor has no flavor so it just takes like the plastic wrap, very plastically, and no returns
Paul H : Good quslity
I use this as a jaw exercise. Main reason for purchase. More firm and chewy than store gum
Ryn : It's gum
As someone with an oral fixation, the chew this gum provides is astounding. I can chew for hours while at work or home and feel satisfied, even as it gets softer over the course of your chew. The only downside is the flavor, and when I say flavor, I mean your own saliva. There is a bit of a cloves aroma there, but it isn't strong, and after chewing this gum for over a month I can say confidently that if you can over look a bit of bad breath after some time chewing, and gum stiffness at first, this is a great product to use.
William Crawford : Mixed view
The taste takes getting used to. Also helps discover failing teeth. In my case it revealed a rare tooth disorder. Not sure if it is a plus or minus. But really be careful.
James Lee : improved jaw structure
I've been chewing this gum every day for about an hour to 2 hours for 3 weeks now and have noticed some slight improvements to my jaw structure, not much, but enough for me to notice more definition and muscle tone. if you chew it often enough you will quickly notice that 1 piece starts to feel too soft to chew so you need more than 1 at a time.
The taste is kinda herb-ish and I personally think it tastes horrible and have gagged a few times when I first started but I got used to it in about a week. I am reviewing this gum for the benefits to my face structure rather than the taste itself so if you're just buying this gum as a candy or for flavor I don't recommend this.
